Onboarding är en viktig del i den organisatoriska världen. Processen onboarding innebär att på ett effektivt och kostnadsfritt sätt etablera nyanställda inom en organisation, och vidare introducera dem till system och verktyg som de kommer använda dagligen. I vetenskaplig litteratur presenteras det hur onboarding används i olika kontexter, professionella och icke-professionella kontexter. Det presenteras där hur onboarding-process i en professionell kontext kan applicera spel-element, och kallas där gameful design, för att motivera användare i systemet de använder. De använder där heuristiker med insikter från gameful design i en utvärderingsmetod. Syftet med arbetet är att se hur väl dessa heuristiker med bakgrund från speldesign passar in på en onboarding-process i professionell kontext, och hur väl de fångar de motivationer som användarna av systemet yttrar. Resultatet visar att gameful design heuristiker har en övervägande potential att hitta problem som användare också kommer att hitta. Med resultatet menas det dock att gameful design heuristiker behöver mer undersökning i en professionell kontext, i form av fler kombinationer av heuristiker, delar av IT-system som utvärderas och andra kontexter. Detta för att skapa fler insikter i gameful-designs plats i den professionella kontexten, och vidare skapa en bättre gameful upplevelse.  

Onboarding is an important part in the organizational world. The process of onboarding implies establishing new employees within an organization in an efficient and cost-free manner, and further introducing them to systems and tools that they will use on a daily basis. In scientific literature, it is presented how onboarding is used in different contexts, professional and non-professional contexts. It is presented there how the onboarding process in a professional context can apply game elements, and is called gameful design, to motivate users in the system they use. They use heuristics with insights from gameful design in an evaluation method. The aim of the work is to see how well these heuristics with a background in game design fit into an onboarding process in a professional context, and how well they capture the motivations expressed by the users of the system. The result shows that gameful design heuristics have a convincing potential to find problems that users will also find. The result, however, means that gameful design heuristics need more investigation in a professional context, in the form of more combinations of heuristics, parts of IT systems being evaluated and other contexts. This is to create more insights into gameful design's place in the professional context, and further to create a better gameful experience.
