This study investigates the immersive experiences in city simulation games, focusing on the game elements that impact player immersion. Utilizing a qualitative and quantitative method, the research analyzes popular city simulation games to identify key game elements and employs a questionnaire to assess their effect on immersion. Additionally, the study highlights the varying importance of these elements based on player preferences and gameplay styles. The findings aim to provide valuable advice for game developers to create immersive city simulation games. Results state that elements such as strategy, visuals & audio, ground-up and weather play key roles in enhancing immersion in city simulation games.
