Abstract [en]

In this thesis a comparative analysis of dedicated tools that game writers can use to create nonlinear stories was conducted. The research observes the complexity of creating such stories, especially for small teams; and the rise of specialized applications to address this challenge. The primary goal of the research is to identify which tools are most effective for creating nonlinear stories, by examining their features, compatibility with game engines and customization options. In this research the Google search engine was used to discover the tools for the analysis. Six tools were examined and presented. The findings suggest that even though different tools can be effective depending on the team's needs, overall, the most effective were Articy:draft and Twine. However, the conclusions were deducted from a technical viewpoint, highlighting the need for further research that will include industry professionals.
