Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Psykisk ohälsa bland barn och unga ökar både i Sverige och runt om i världen. I Sverige är dessa barn och unga elever inom grund- och gymnasieskolan. Genom hälsosamtalet har skolsköterskor möjligheten att identifiera de elever som lider av psykisk ohälsa. Syfte Syftet med denna metasyntes var att beskriva skolsköterskors erfarenheter av hälsosamtal med elever som har psykisk ohälsa. Metod: Som metod valdes metasyntes där datamaterialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Ur analysen framträdde ett tema: Bygga stabil grund för en förtroendefull relation, med två kategorier: Förmedla trygghet och Visa Genuint intresse samt fem underkategorier; Visa sig tillgänglig, Bekräfta elevers upplevelser, Ha tilltro för egen förmåga, Bygga ömsesidig tillit och Vara närvarande. Konklusion: Denna studie har bidragit med kunskaper om skolsköterskors erfarenheter av hälsosamtal med elever som har psykisk ohälsa. Skolsköterskor är en värdefull resurs och genom hälsosamtalen har skolsköterskor en unik möjlighet att identifiera och hjälpa elever med psykisk ohälsa.

Abstract [en]

Background: Mental ill-health among children and young people is increasing both in Sweden and around the world. In Sweden, these children and young students are in primary and secondary school. Through the health call, school nurses have the opportunity to identify the students who suffer from mental illness. Purpose: The purpose of this metasynthesis was to describe school nurses' experiences of health conversations with students with mental illness. Method: As a method, metasynthesis was chosen where the data material was analyzed with qualitative content analysis. Results: From the analysis emerged a theme: Build a stable foundation for a trusting relationship, with two categories: Conveying security and Show Genuine interest and five subcategories; Show up, Confirm student's experiences, Have confidence in your own ability, Build mutual trust and Be present. Conclusion: This study has contributed to knowledge of school nurses' experiences of health conversations with students with mental illness. School nurses is a valuable resource and through the health interviews, school nurses have a unique opportunity to identify and help students with mental illness.
