In this study, an immersive, story-driven game called Blender Start Here was used. This study investigates the impact of narrative-driven elements on contemporary art education, as well as the influence of task-driven structures and a sense of game control on learners’ engagement. Employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, the research analyses the application of immersive game-based experiences within 3D modelling courses, identifying key game elements and using questionnaires to assess the effects of immersive gamified teaching.
Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of personalised learning experiences tailored to the needs of individual learners. All of these insights aim to offer recommendations for the advancement of modern art education. The findings suggest that gamified teaching has a positive influence on 3D modelling instruction, providing a strong theoretical foundation for its application in the wider field of art education. Immersive gamification plays a pivotal role in enhancing educational practices.
