Pedagogers uppfattningar av barn i behov av särskilt stöd och Marte Meo handledning2013Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Studies purpose was to investigate teachers´ different conceptions of children with special needs and teachers´ conceptions of participation in Marte Meo´s supervising. The study is qualitative one with fenomenographic attempt and is based on teachers´interviews. The following questions were the ground for the study:

    1. Which different conceptions of children with special needs have teachers´  participating in Marte Meo?

    1. What are different ways to experience Marte Meo`s supervising according to the teachers?

Distinguishing conceptions of the above phenomena are identified. The results of the study show that teachers has experienced children with special needs and Marte Meo`s supervising. Teachers` views about children with special needs and received supervising affects are contents in these different conceptions. Teachers mean that children who has The teachers describe that after Marte Meo`s supervising, which can be used as tools, they can work concrete as developing support to every child. difficulties in interaction is a special exposed group.

Teachers point out further that have developed knowledge and proficiency according to all the children in pre-school and primary school, not just children with special needs, in their opinions. Teachers mean that they have got tools which develop dialog and knowledge about interactions importance for children and activities.

Analysis of the expression of INSR and FOX Genes in Celiac Disease2012Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Celiac disease (CD) is a common heritable immune related disorder where chronic inflammationof the small intestine is induced by the ingestion of gluten. The immune response leads to theinflammation and flattening of intestinal mucosa due to the damaged villi and thus results indefects in the absorption of nutrients. This defect can affect any organ or body system and exposeto the risk of lifelong complications such as cancer, autoimmune diseases and other complexdiseases. Now a day, celiac disease is becoming one of the well-studied models of complexdisorders. The PI3K- FOX signaling pathway is activated by many regulators and growth factors and playsa key role in cell cycle. Two components of this pathway, INSR and FOX, play crucial roles indiverse aspects of embryogenesis from the initial tissue genesis up to organ formation. INSR andFOX take part in development, differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis and stress resistance aswell as metabolism. SNP´s could affect the expression of neighboring genes. These SNP´s areshown to be as eQTLs, genomic loci that regulate the expression of genes. The aim of this studywas to detect and quantitate the expression of INSR and certain FOX genes in celiac disease.Quantitative real time PCR (QPCR) was used to analyze the expression of INSR, FOXO1,FOXO4 and FOXD3 genes in 38 celiac cases and 50 control samples. Three reference genesACTB, EPCAM and PGK1 were tested for their expression stability and their average was used inthe normalization procedure. Gene expression results were analyzed using the ΔCt method. Theexpression of INSR, FOXO1, FOXO4 and FOXD3 were described as their fold change in CDcompared to normal non-celiac mucosa. Our results indicated that FOXO4 and INSR wereexpressed less by 0.60 fold and FOXO1 was expressed less by 0.23 fold in CD samples. Theresults are preliminary and further studies will be needed to confirm if these findings are a resultof the intestinal inflammation in CD or if these genes are partly driving the disease itself.

Att leva med leukemi: En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av självbiografier2015Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 180 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [sv]

FEASABILITY STUDY FOR ROBOTIC HANDLING OF PROTECTIVE SHIMS AT CONDUCTOR CAROUSEL: Bachelor Degree Project in Automation Engineering2015Independent thesis Basic level (university diploma), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

This report provides a Feasibility study on automating the handling of shims that protect the cable conductor from being damaged. The shims also help keeping the conductor on the inside of the carousel. The methods of the project includes:  A Technological-, Economic-, Legal-, Operational- and Schedule Feasibility Study  A RobotStudio offline simulation utilized for positioning an ABB robot and testing that its control program is made in accordance with required safety, reliability, and speed.  An analysis of robotic tools and sensors required for the task  A cost and payback analysis The approach is to create a simulation where an IRB6650S ABB robot is used for placing shims onto the conductor carousel. Eventually the robot is supposed to remove shims from the carousel, as the conductor is taken up for extrusion of plastic isolation. The pallets of shims are to be placed on an existing table lift that can elevate or be lowered vertically according to cable growth or decrease. This is so that the robot motion and cycle time can be minimized and shim handling speed increased. The robot makes a “searching motion” which gives the height coordinate as the gripper collides with a shim or cable at the carousel. This coordinate is further used to estimate the height of the cable at the carousel and the height of the shim-stack at the palette. The table lift elevates or lowers according to the height that is provided from the “search motion”. A separation magazine, which is placed on the table lift, stores a set of pre-separated shims for one layer of cable conductor at the carousel. This is to avoid separating shims during the handling period and to speed up the shim handling. During the up taking of the conductor and as the shims are supposed to be picked off from the carousel, the robot uses the angular positions of already placed shims that are saved during the placing process, in order to find the shims at the carousel. The vacuum gripper consists of two foam-gripper systems, which are connected with aluminum profiles. The foam can be formed according to the grooves of the shim and enclose the surface in order to create vacuum and to grip the shim. The gripper is equipped with two collision sensors at each foamgripper that indicate when it is time to apply vacuum or when to release it. It was found that the robot is able to handle shims 42% faster than the manual workers are. The initial investment for the robot, equipment and implementation was estimated to one million SEK. A payback period was estimated to 8 years and if the robot will be used for two carousels, the payback period will be 4 years. The conclusion is that the implementation of the robot is feasible for this application in every aspect of the study, and the implementation can be recommended. The implementation is not feasible, only if there is another project that can prove to be more economically beneficial, that should be invested in first.
