    Abstract [en]

    Unstructured texts are a very popular data type and still widely unexplored in the privacy preserving data mining field. We consider the problem of providing public information about a set of confidential documents. To that end we have developed a method to protect a Vector Space Model (VSM), to make it public even if the documents it represents are private. This method is inspired by microaggregation, a popular protection method from statistical disclosure control, and adapted to work with sparse and high dimensional data sets.

    Abstract [en]

    Record Linkage is used to link records of two different files corresponding to the same individuals. These algorithms are used for database integration. In data privacy, these algorithms are used to evaluate the disclosure risk of a protected data set by linking records that belong to the same individual. The degree of success when linking the original (unprotected data) with the protected data gives an estimation of the disclosure risk.

    In this paper we propose a new parameterized aggregation operator and a supervised learning method for disclosure risk assessment. The parameterized operator is a symmetric bilinear form and the supervised learning method is formalized as an optimization problem. The target of the optimization problem is to find the values of the aggregation parameters that maximize the number of re-identification (or correct links). We evaluate and compare our proposal with other non-parametrized variations of record linkage, such as those using the Mahalanobis distance and the Euclidean distance (one of the most used approaches for this purpose). Additionally, we also compare it with other previously presented parameterized aggregation operators for record linkage such as the weighted mean and the Choquet integral. From these comparisons we show how the proposed aggregation operator is able to overcome or at least achieve similar results than the other parameterized operators. We also study which are the necessary optimization problem conditions to consider the described aggregation functions as metric functions.

    STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF A WASHING MACHINE THROUGH ITS LOADING CASES: REDESIGN OF THE TRIPOD AND THE FRONT COVER2011Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 15 poäng / 22,5 hpOppgave
    Abstract [en]

    This project thesis is developed in collaboration with the mechanical department at University of Skövde, and it is focused in the determination of different loading cases and the application of their results to the optimization of two parts of a washing machine.

     

    The first step in this report is to obtain a numerical model of a washing machine. It includes the assembly in a mechanical software program (Abaqus), and the assignment of the specific boundary conditions and material properties for the problem. Simulation parameters such as mesh size; types of elements, and number of iterations used in the calculations will also be decided.

     

    A study of the different loading cases is carried out with the intention of having a general view of the problem and selecting four specific cases for its application to the reconstruction of the aimed parts (tripod and front cover). This study includes the calculation of the worst relative angle between the tripod and the resultant force for two opposite loads inside the drum. This angle results to be 35º between the arm and the direction of the resultant force.

     

    Through the application of these different loading conditions to this model, the mechanical behaviour of the parts will be obtained and this information will be used in the reconstruction. By mechanical behaviour it is meant to know the maximum level of stress (tension, compression and shear), and deformation (displacement and strain).

     

    Once it is well known which are the most suffering points of the tripod and in the front cover, several different new shapes are created. The parameters considered in this reconstruction were the decrease of volume, the reduction of the level of stress and the deformations. Two of these shapes are chosen and tested in the numerical model, as a checkout.

     

    Finally all these results are presented to the University of Skövde for possible future use.

    Social network analysis techniques have shown a potential for influencing gradu-ates to meet industry needs. In this paper, we propose a social-web driven solutions to bridge formal education and industry needs. The proposed career development frame-work utilizes social network analytics, influence diffusion algorithms and persuasive technology models along three phases: (1) career readiness to measure and visualize the general cognitive dispositions required for a successful career in the 21st Century, (2) career prediction to persuade future graduates into a desired career path by clustering learners whose career prospects are deemed similar, into a community of practice; and (3) career development to drive growth within a social network structure where social network analytics and persuasive techniques are applied to incite the adoption of desired career behaviors. The process starts by discovering behavioral features to create a cognitive profile and diagnose individual deficiencies. Then, we develop a fuzzy clustering algorithm that predicts similar patterns with controlled constraint-violations to construct a social structure for collaborative cognitive attainment. This social framework facilitates the deployment of novel influence diffusion approaches, whereby we propose a reciprocal-weighted similarity function and a triadic clo-sure approach. In doing so, we investigate contemporary social network analytics to maximize influence diffusion across a synthesized social network. The outcome of this social computing approach leads to a persuasive model that supports behavioral changes and developments. The performance results obtained from both analytical and experi-mental evaluations validate our data-driven strategy for persuasive behavioral change.

    Abstract [en]

    The need for graduates who are immediately prepared for employment has been widely advocated over the last decade to narrow the notorious gap between industry and higher education. Current instructional methods in formal higher education claim to deliver career-ready graduates, yet industry managers argue their imminent workforce needs are not completely met. From the candidates view, formal academic path is well defined through standard curricula, but their career path and supporting professional competencies are not confidently asserted. In this paper, we adopt a data analytics approach combined with contemporary social computing techniques to measure, instil, and track the development of professional competences of learners in higher education. We propose to augment higher-education systems with a virtual learning environment made-up of three major successive layers: (1) career readiness, to assert general professional dispositions, (2) career prediction to identify and nurture confidence in a targeted domain of employment, and (3) a career development process to raise the skills that are relevant to the predicted profession. We analyze self-declared career readiness data as well as standard individual learner profiles which include career interests and domain-related qualifications. Using these combinations of data sources, we categorize learners into Communities of Practice (CoPs), within which learners thrive collaboratively to build further their career readiness and assert their professional confidence. Towards these perspectives, we use a judicious clustering algorithm that utilizes a fuzzy-logic objective function which addresses issues pertaining to overlapping domains of career interests. Our proposed Fuzzy Pairwise-constraints K-Means (FCKM) algorithm is validated empirically using a two-dimensional synthetic dataset. The experimental results show improved performance of our clustering approach compared to baseline methods.

    Early neuropathological changes characteristic of late-onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD) involve brain stem and limbic structures that regulate neurovegetative functions, including sleep-wake rhythm. Indeed, sleep pattern is an emerging biomarker and a potential pathophysiological mechanism in LOAD. We hypothesized that cognitively asymptomatic, middle-aged offspring of patients with LOAD (O-LOAD) would display a series of circadian rhythm abnormalities prior to the onset of objective cognitive alterations. We tested 31 children of patients with LOAD (O-LOAD) and 19 healthy individuals without family history of Alzheimer's disease (control subjects, CS) with basic tests of cognitive function, as well as actigraphy measures of sleep-wake rhythm, cardiac autonomic function, and bodily temperature. Unexpectedly, O-LOAD displayed subtle but significant deficits in verbal episodic memory (Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test delayed recall 10.6 +/- 0.4 vs. 8.6 +/- 0.6, t = 4.97, df = 49, p < 0.01) and language (Weschler's vocabulary 51.4 +/- 1.3 vs. 44.3 +/- 1.5, t = 2.49, df = 49, p < 0.001) compared to CS, even though all participants had results within the clinically normal range. O-LOAD showed a phase-delayed rhythm of body temperature (2.56 +/- 0.47 h vs. 3.8 +/- 0.26 h, t = 2.48, df = 40, p = 0.031). Cognitive performance in O-LOAD was associated with a series of cardiac autonomic sleep-wake variables; specifically indicators of greater sympathetic activity at night were related to poorer cognition. The present results suggest sleep pattern deserves further study as a potential neurobiological signature in LOAD, even in middle-aged, at risk individuals.

    Abstract [en]

    Schizophrenic symptoms and hallucinogenic effects have been thought of as similar for a long time. The aim of this paper is to review the current findings in the research of schizophrenia and hallucinogens; symptoms and effects, brain imaging studies and biochemical studies are compared. Systematic investigations show that the acute symptoms of schizophrenia are particularly similar to the effects of hallucinogens when using psychometric rating scales; APZ, EPI and AMPD, even though dissimilarities have been found. Converging evidence suggests that the acute effects of schizophrenia as well as the effects of hallucinogens act through a common receptor subtype, the 5-HT2A receptor. Brain imaging studies using PET and SPECT indicates that hallucinogenic drugs increase frontal cortical activity, studies have found it to be a result of 5-HT2A receptor stimulation. Interactions between the serotonergic system and other neurotransmitter systems might aid in the understanding of these phenomena.

    Studiens intresseområde var IT-support och supportsituationer mellan företag och fastighetsmäklare. Fastighetsmäklare i Sverige är en yrkesgrupp som använder sig utav teknik i sitt arbete, t.ex. bärbara datorer och digitala kameror. Införandet av IT (Informationsteknologi) i arbetslivet har förändrat yrkesgruppens arbetssätt och påverkat denna yrkesgrupp markant. Det här gör att fastighetsmäklaren är beroende av att tekniken fungerar och har behov av välfungerande support vid uppkomna problem. Studiens syfte var att undersöka supportsituationer mellan företag och fastighetsmäklare ur ett kundperspektiv. Målet var att förstå fastighetsmäklares syn på supportsituationer då IT-relaterade problem hanteras.

     

    Den teoretiska utgångspunkten i studien var en teori om hur människan tar till sig kunskap samt vilka faser man går igenom i sin utvecklingszon. Studien utgjordes av intervjuer med tio fastighetsmäklare från olika kommuner i Sverige.

     

    Studien visade att fastighetsmäklarna är överlag nöjda med den support de får vid uppkomna IT-relaterade problem. Det gäller bemötande, upplevd kompetens hos de personer som ger supporten samt kvaliteten i supporten. När fastighetsmäklaren stöter på problem och supporten ges på distans med hjälp av funktionen fjärrstyrning och fastighetsmäklaren väljer att iaktta på dataskärmen hur problemet löses, kan supportsituationen förstås som ett lärtillfälle.

    Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka varför sjuksköterskestudenter väljer att påbörja en sjuksköterskeutbildning samt vilka föreställningar de har kring yrket? Studiens design var kvantitativ med deskriptiv ansats. Data samlades in genom en enkätundersökning bland nya sjuksköterskestudenter (n= 34) vid en Högskola, HT 2010. Resultatet visade att studenterna väljer utbildningen av olika orsaker. Den vanligaste orsaken till valet var att få en möjlighet att vidareutbilda sig inom sjuksköterskeyrket och för de studenter som har arbetat inom sjukvården valde utbildningen för att vidareutbilda sig till sjuksköterska. Oberoende av vilken orsak studenterna har så är viljan att hjälpa andra människor en viktig orsak till valet av sjuksköterskeutbildningen. Studenterna ansåg att en sjuksköterska bör vara empatisk, kunnig, lyhörd, vara noggrann och fördomsfri i sin yrkesroll. Studenterna trodde att de mest förekommande arbetsuppgifterna för en sjuksköterska är dokumentation, fysisk omvårdnad, känslomässig omvårdnad och medicinska uppgifter.

    The inbred BDII rat is a valuable experimental model for the genetic analysis of hormone-dependent endometrial adenocarcinoma (EAC). One common aberration detected previously by comparative genomic hybridization in rat EAC is loss affecting mostly the middle part of rat chromosome 5 (RNO5). First, we applied an RNO5-specific painting probe and four region-specific gene probes onto tumor cell metaphases from 21 EACs, and found that rearrangements involving RNO5 were common. The copy numbers of loci situated on RNO5 were found to be reduced, particularly for the CDKN2A/2B locus. Second, polymerase chain reaction analysis was performed with 22 genes and markers and homozygous deletions of the CDKN2A exon 1β and CDKN2B genes were detected in 13 EACs (62%) and of CDKN2A exon 1α in 12 EACs (57%) Third, the occurrence of allelic imbalance in RNO5 was analyzed using 39 microsatellite markers covering the entire chromosome and frequent loss of heterozygosity was detected. Even more intriguing was the repeated finding of allele switching in a narrow region of 7 Mb across the CDKN2A/2B locus. We conclude that genetic events affecting the middle part of RNO5 (including bands 5q31q33 and the CDKN2A locus) contribute to the development of EAC in rat, with the CDKN2A locus having a primary role.

    Estrogens play an important role in breast cancer etiology and the ACI rat provides a novel animal model for defining the mechanisms through which estrogens contribute to mammary cancer development. In crossing experiments between the susceptible ACI strain and two resistant strains, COP (Copenhagen) and BN (Brown Norway), several quantitative trait loci (QTL) that affect development of 17b-estradiol (E2)-induced mammary tumors have been defined. Using comparative genomic hybridization (CGH), we have analyzed cytogenetic aberrations in E2-induced mammary cancers and have found clear patterns of nonrandom chromosomal involvement. Approximately two thirds of the tumors exhibited copy number changes. Losses of rat chromosome 5 (RNO5) and RNO20 were particularly common, and it was found that these two aberrations often occurred together. A third recurrent aberration involving proximal gain and distal loss in RNO6 probably defined a distinct subgroup of tumors, since it never occurred in combination with RNO5 loss. Interestingly, QTL with powerful effects on mammary cancer development have been mapped to RNO5 and RNO6. These findings suggest that there were at least two genetic pathways to tumor formation in this rat model of E2-induced mammary cancer. By performing CGH on mammary tumors from ACI rats, F1 rats from crosses between the ACI and COP or BN strains and ACI.BN-Emca8 congenic rats, which carry the BN allele of the Emca8 QTL on RNO5 on the ACI genetic background, we were able to determine that the constitution of the germ line influences the pattern of chromosomal aberrations.

    The inbred BDII rat is a valuable experimental model for the genetic analysis of endometrial adenocarcinoma (EAC). One common aberration detected by comparative genomic hybridization in rat EAC was gain/amplification affecting the proximal part of rat chromosome 6 (RNO6). We applied rat and mouse chromosome painting probes onto tumor cell metaphase preparations in order to detect and characterize gross RNO6 aberrations. In addition, the RNO6q11-q16 segment was analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization with probes representing 12 cancer-related genes in the region. The analysis revealed that seven tumors contained large RNO6-derived homogeneously staining regions (HSRs) in addition to several normal or near-normal RNO6 chromosomes. Five tumors (two of which also had HSRs) exhibited a selective increase of the RNO6q11-q16 segment, sometimes in conjunction with moderate amplification of one or a few genes. Most commonly, the amplification affected the region centered around band 6q16 and included the Mycn, Ddx1, and Rrm2 genes. A second region, centering around Slc8a1 and Xdh, also was affected by gene amplification but to a lesser extent. The aberrations in the proximal part of RNO6 were further analyzed using allelotyping of microsatellite markers in all tumors from animals that were heterozygous in the proximal RNO6 region. We could detect allelic imbalance (AI) in 12 of 20 informative tumors, 6 of which were in addition to those already analyzed by molecular cytogenetic methods as described. Our findings suggest that increase/amplification of genes in this chromosome region contribute to the development of this hormone-dependent tumor.

    The ability to adaptively control manufacturing equipment, both in local and distributed environments, is becoming increasingly more important for many manufacturing companies.

    One important reason for this is that manufacturing companies are facing increasing levels of changes, variations and uncertainty, caused by both internal and external factors, which can negatively impact their performance. Frequently changing consumer requirements and market demands usually lead to variations in manufacturing quantities, product design and shorter product life-cycles. Variations in manufacturing capability and functionality, such as equipment breakdowns, missing/worn/broken tools and delays, also contribute to a high level of uncertainty. The result is unpredictable manufacturing system performance, with an increased number of unforeseen events occurring in these systems. Events which are difficult for traditional planning and control systems to satisfactorily manage.

    For manufacturing scenarios such as these, the use of real-time manufacturing information and intelligence is necessary to enable manufacturing activities to be performed according to actual manufacturing conditions and requirements, and not according to a pre-determined process plan. Therefore, there is a need for an event-driven control approach to facilitate adaptive decision-making and dynamic control capabilities.

    Another reason driving the move for adaptive control of manufacturing equipment is the trend of increasing globalization, which forces manufacturing industry to focus on more cost-effective manufacturing systems and collaboration within global supply chains and manufacturing networks. Cloud Manufacturing is evolving as a new manufacturing paradigm to match this trend, enabling the mutually advantageous sharing of resources, knowledge and information between distributed companies and manufacturing units. One of the crucial objectives for Cloud Manufacturing is the coordinated planning, control and execution of discrete manufacturing operations in collaborative and networked environments. Therefore, there is also a need that such an event-driven control approach supports the control of distributed manufacturing equipment.

    The aim of this research study is to define and verify a novel and comprehensive method for adaptive control of manufacturing equipment in cloud environments.

    The presented research follows the Design Science Research methodology. From a review of research literature, problems regarding adaptive manufacturing equipment control have been identified. A control approach, building on a structure of event-driven Manufacturing Feature Function Blocks, supported by an Information Framework, has been formulated. The Function Block structure is constructed to generate real-time control instructions, triggered by events from the manufacturing environment. The Information Framework uses the concept of Ontologies and The Semantic Web to enable description and matching of manufacturing resource capabilities and manufacturing task requests in distributed environments, e.g. within Cloud Manufacturing. The suggested control approach has been designed and instantiated, implemented as prototype systems for both local and distributed manufacturing scenarios, in both real and virtual applications. In these systems, event-driven Assembly Feature Function Blocks for adaptive control of robotic assembly tasks have been used to demonstrate the applicability of the control approach. The utility and performance of these prototype systems have been tested, verified and evaluated for different assembly scenarios.

    The proposed control approach has many promising characteristics for use within both local and distributed environments, such as cloud environments. The biggest advantage compared to traditional control is that the required control is created at run-time according to actual manufacturing conditions.

    The biggest obstacle for being applicable to its full extent is manufacturing equipment controlled by proprietary control systems, with native control languages. To take the full advantage of the IEC Function Block control approach, controllers which can interface, interpret and execute these Function Blocks directly, are necessary.

    A developing trend within the manufacturing shop-floor domain is the move of manufacturing activities into cloud environments, as scalable, on-demand and pay-per-usage cloud services. This will radically change traditional manufacturing, as borderless, distributed and collaborative manufacturing missions between volatile, best suited groups of partners will impose a multitude of advantages. The evolving Cloud Manufacturing (CM) paradigm will enable this new manufacturing concept, and on-going research has described many of its anticipated core virtues and enabling technologies. However, a major key enabling technology within CM which has not yet been fully addressed is the dynamic and distributed planning, control and execution of scattered and cooperating shop-floor equipment, completing joint manufacturing tasks.

    In this paper, the technological perspective for a cloud service-based control approach is described, and how it could be implemented. Existing manufacturing resources, such as soft, hard and capability resources, can be packaged as cloud services, and combined to create different levels of equipment or manufacturing control, ranging from low-level control of single machines or devices (e.g. Robot Control-as-a-Service), up to the execution of high level multi-process manufacturing tasks (e.g. Manufacturing-as-a-Service). A multi-layer control approach, featuring adaptive decision-making for both global and local environmental conditions, is proposed. This is realized through the use of a network of intelligent and distributable decision modules such as event-driven Function Blocks, enabling run-time manufacturing activities to be performed according to actual manufacturing conditions. The control system’s integration to the CM cloud service management functionality is also described.

    Different kinds of uncertainty, such as variations in manufacturing capability and functionality, as well as changes in demand, make up a dynamically changing environment for many manufacturing systems of today. The ability to adapt to these unforeseen changes, through dynamic decision-making as well as dynamic control capabilities based on the use of real-time manufacturing information and intelligence, is vital to be able to perform at a competitive level while reducing unscheduled downtime. The event-driven Function Block (FB) model of the IEC 61499 standard, as opposed to the time-triggered and data-driven concept of IEC 61331, supports this approach, making it possible to handle, in a responsive and adaptive way, different kinds of uncertainty. Our objective is to develop methodologies for distributed, adaptive and dynamic process planning as well as machine monitoring and control for machining and assembly operations, using event-driven FBs. The implementation and testing of FB-based control for manufacturing equipment has been successfully realized in prototype systems, with control of both CNC machining and robotic assembly operations. The approach of using IEC 61499 FBs for adaptive control in other applications is also investigated, as an adaptive decision support system for operators at manufacturing facilities is under development. We strongly believe that IEC 61499 will play a major role in the shift to adaptive manufacturing systems.

    Many manufacturing systems are exposed to a variety of unforeseen changes, negatively restricting their performances. External variations depending on market demand (e.g. changes in design, quantity and product mix) and internal variations in production capability and flexibility (e.g. equipment breakdowns, missing/worn/broken tools, delays and express orders) all contribute to an environment of uncertainty. In these dynamically changing environments, adaptability is a key feature for manufacturing systems to be able to perform at a maximum level, while keeping unscheduled downtime to a minimum. Targeting manufacturing equipment adaptability, this paper reports an assembly feature (AF) based approach for robotic assembly, using IEC 61499 compliant Function Blocks (FBs). Through the use of a network of event-driven FBs, an adaptive controller system for an industrial gantry robot’s assembly operations has been designed, implemented and tested. Basic assembly operations have been mapped as AFs into Assembly Feature Function Blocks (AF-FBs). Through their combination in FB networks, they can be aggregated to perform higher level assembly tasks. The AF-FBs dynamic execution and behavior can be adaptively controlled through embedded eventdriven algorithms, enabling the ability of adaptive decisions to handle unforeseen changes in the runtime environment.

    The interest for implementing the concept of Manufacturing-as-a-Service is increasing as concepts for letting the manufacturing shop-floor domain take advantage of the cloud appears. Combining technologies such as Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Semantic Web, virtualisation and service-oriented technologies with advanced manufacturing models, information and communication technologies, Cloud Manufacturing (CM) is emerging as a new manufacturing paradigm. The ideas of on-demand, scalable and pay-for-usage resource-sharing in this concept will move manufacturing towards distributed and collaborative missions in volatile partnerships. This will require a control approach for distributed planning and execution of cooperating manufacturing activities. Without control based on both global and local environmental conditions, the advantages of CM will not be fulfilled.

    By utilising smart and distributable decision modules such as event-driven FBs, run-time manufacturing operations in a distributed environment may be adjusted to prevailing manufacturing conditions. Packaged in a cloud service for manufacturing equipment control, it will satisfy the control needs in CM. By combining different resource types, such as hard, soft and capability resources, the cloud service Robot Control-as-a-Service can be realised.

    This paper describes the functional perspective and enabling technologies for a control approach for robotic assembly tasks in CM, and describes a scenario for its implementation.

A standardized approach for systemived virtualization, servisilisation, retrieval, selection and composition into higher levels of functionality is necessary. For the collaborative sharing and use of networked manufacturing resources there is also a need for a control approach for distributed manufacturing equipment. In this paper, the technological perspective for an adaptive cloud service-based control approach is described, and a supporting information model for its implementation. The control is realized through the use of a network of intelligent and distributable Function Block decision modules, enabling run-time manufacturing activities to be performed according to actual manufacturing conditions. The control system's integration to the cloud service management functionality is described, as well as a feature-level capability model and the use of ontologies and the Semantic Web.

Frequently changing customer and market demands lead to variations in manufacturing quantities, product design and shorter product life-cycles, and variations in manufacturing capability and functionality contribute to a high level of uncertainty. The result is unpredictable manufacturing system performance, with an increased number of unforeseen events occurring in these systems. Such events are difficult for traditional planning and control systems to satisfactorily manage. For scenarios like these, with a dynamically changing manufacturing environment, adaptive decision making is crucial for successfully performing manufacturing operations. Relying on real-time information of manufacturing processes and operations, and their enabling resources, adaptive decision making can be realized with a control approach combining IEC 61499 event-driven Function Blocks (FBs) with manufacturing features. These FBs are small decision-making modules with embedded algorithms designed to generate the desired equipment control code. When dynamically triggered by event inputs, parameter values in their data inputs are forwarded to the appropriate algorithms, which generate new events and data output as control instructions. The data inputs also include monitored real-time information which allows the dynamic creation of equipment control code adapted to the actual run-time conditions on the shop-floor. Manufacturing features build on the concept that a manufacturing task can be broken down into a sequence of minor basic operations, in this research assembly features (AFs). These features define atomic assembly operations, and by combining and implementing these in the event-driven FB embedded algorithms, automatic code generation is possible. A test case with a virtual robot assembly cell is presented, demonstrating the functionality of the proposed control approach.

    Modern distributed manufacturing within Industry 4.0, supported by Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs), offers many promising capabilities regarding effective and flexible manufacturing, but there remain many challenges which may hinder its exploitation fully. One major issue is how to automatically control manufacturing equipment, e.g. industrial robots and CNC-machines, in an adaptive and effective manner. For collaborative sharing and use of distributed and networked manufacturing resources, a coherent, standardised approach for systemised planning and control at different manufacturing system levels and locations is a paramount prerequisite.

    In this paper, the concept of feature-based manufacturing for adaptive equipment control and resource-task matching in distributed and collaborative CPS manufacturing environments is presented. The concept has a product perspective and builds on the combination of product manufacturing features and event-driven Function Blocks (FB) of the IEC 61499 standard. Distributed control is realised through the use of networked and smart FB decision modules, enabling the performance of collaborative run-time manufacturing activities according to actual manufacturing conditions. A feature-based information framework supporting the matching of manufacturing resources and tasks, as well as the feature-FB control concept, and a demonstration with a cyber-physical robot application, are presented.

    The ability to adaptively control manufacturing equipment in cloud environments is becoming increasingly more important. Industry 4.0, supported by Cyber Physical Systems and the concept of on-demand, scalable and pay-for-usage resource-sharing in cloud environments offers many promises regarding effective and flexible manufacturing. For implementing the concept of manufacturing services in a cloud environment, a cloud control approach for the sharing and control of networked manufacturing resources is required. This paper presents a cloud service-based control approach which has a product perspective and builds on the combination of event-driven IEC 61499 Function Blocks and product manufacturing features. Distributed control is realised through the use of a networked control structure of such Function Blocks as decision modules, enabling an adaptive run-time behaviour. The control approach has been developed and implemented as prototype systems for both local and distributed manufacturing scenarios, in both real and virtual applications. An application scenario is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the control approach. In this scenario, Assembly Feature-Function Blocks for adaptive control of robotic assembly tasks have been used.

    En allmän uppfattning bland lärare i skolan är att mycket tid läggs på konflikthantering. Studien lyfter lärares uppfattningar kring konflikter och konflikthantering, då syftet är att studera konflikthanteringen i två klassrum. Syftet är även att se vilka uppfattningar lärare har kring förebyggandet av konflikter samt hanterandet av dessa. Studien bygger på observationer samt kvalitativa intervjuer där två lärare har intervjuats. Uppfattningen bland lärarna i studien är att en konfliktfri skola är till fördel för eleverna och undervisningen. Tolkningen är även att hanterandet av konflikter är ett måste i skolans vardag, samt att det tas tid från den planerade undervisningen till att hantera konflikter. Resultatet visar att det finns skilda uppfattningar om vilken nytta konflikthantering kan ha för elever. Tidigare dokumenterad forskning visar, i motsats till det resultat som framkommit i studien, att konflikthantering kan ge eleverna värdefulla verktyg för att klara av sociala problem som de ställs inför nu och i framtiden. Resultatet presenterar även att konflikter kan vara av olika karaktär där vissa konflikter blir konstruktiva och andra destruktiva. I resultatet lyfts även att det oftast är samma elever som hamnar i konflikt och att det finns en gemensam nämnare kring dem. I studien diskuteras resultatet. Här tas konflikthanteringens frånvaro i klassrummet upp, varför det är relevant att lyfta konflikter i klassrummet samt att barn behöver trygghet för att kunna hantera konflikter. Slutligen diskuteras de valda metoderna för genomförandet av studien.

    Abstract [en]

    “Overworking to death” is a phenomenon that has been noticeable in developing countries. The cause of death is mainly through ischemic strokes. While the victims’ occupations differed, they all shared a common characteristic, being positioned in a sedentary work, ranging from IT workers to doctors. This project’s aim was to develop a product that prevented or decreased the strokes that derived from sedentary overwork. This was mainly tackled by preventing one of the three causes of developing blood props, slowed blood flow. In order to gather rich data of the phenomenon, a qualitative study was conducted in China, during two months. By doing an extensive structured sampling, information rich data could be gathered during a short period of time. Data were derived from observations, questionnaires and an interview, which then was interpreted to customer needs and the final product specification. The final product became a trouser with an in built dynamic compression mechanic, that can compress the veins mostly during sitting activities, in order to prevent blood stasis. The compression mechanic works like the Chinese finger trap; compressing the calves while sitting and stretching the legs forward. It is made only out of polysaccharides fibres; cotton and corn.

    Objectives: To assess whether a psychosocial intervention teaching coping strategies to women can improve quality of life (QOL) in groups of Iranian women exposed to social pressures. Design: Quasi-experimental non-randomised group design involving two categories of Iranian women, each category represented by non-equivalent intervention and comparison groups. Setting: A large urban area in Iran. Participants: 44 women; 25 single mothers and 19 newly married women. Interventions: Seventh-month psychosocial intervention aimed at providing coping strategies. Primary outcome measures: Effect sizes in four specific health-related domains and two overall perceptions of QOL and health measured by the WHOQOL-BREF instrument. Results: Large effect sizes were observed among the women exposed to the intervention in the WHOQOLBREF subdomains measuring physical health (r=0.68; p<0.001), psychological health (r=0.72; p<0.001), social relationships (r=0.52; p<0.01), environmental health (r=0.55; p<0.01) and in the overall perception of QOL (r=0.72; p<0.001); the effect size regarding overall perception of health was between small and medium (r=0.20; not significant). Small and not statistically significant effect sizes were observed in the women provided with traditional social welfare services. Conclusions: Teaching coping strategies can improve the QOL of women in societies where gender discrimination is prevalent. The findings require reproduction in studies with a more rigorous design before the intervention model can be recommended for widespread distribution.

    Thermally stimulated diffusion of Mn through thin layers of GaAs has been studied by x-ray photoemission. (Ga, Mn)As samples with 5 at% Mn were capped with 4, 6 and 8 monolayer (ML) GaAs, and Mn diffusing through the GaAs was trapped on the surface by means of amorphous As. It was found that the out-diffusion is completely suppressed for an 8 ML thick GaAs film. The short diffusion length is attributed to an electrostatic barrier formed at the (Ga, Mn)As/GaAs interface.

    Bakgrund:Suicid är en självdestruktiv handling som leder till döden och som ofta är en konsekvens av psykiskt lidande och sjukdom. Suicid leder till ett stort lidande för efterlevande närstående. Därför behöver sjuksköterskor sträva efter att fånga upp dessa närstående och hjälpa dem. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva närståendes upplevelser efter att en person har begått suicid för att skapa förståelse för hur sjuksköterskor kan bemöta närståendes behov. Metod: Studien är baserad på sju självbiografier som analyserades enligt Dahlborg-Lyckhages metod att analysera berättelser. Resultat: Närstående beskriver en stor sorg över suiciden, känslor som skuld, skam men även lättnad upplevs efter en anhörigs suicid. Närstående beskriver hur omgivningen undviker dem och att de upplever sig utpekade och isolerade efter en anhörigs suicid. Närstående beklagar sig också över att det inte erbjuds professionellt stöd och hjälp utan att de själva måste söka det. Konklusion: De närstående är främst i behov av professionellt stöd i form av stödsamtal och gemensamma samtal med resten av familjen. Dessutom är de närstående i behov av socialt stöd i form av stödgrupper från till exempel SPES. Sjuksköterskans roll blir att stödja de närstående i deras sorgeprocess.

    Introduktion: Antibiotikaresistenta bakterier är ett stort hot mot folkhälsan. Alla patienter har rätt till en smittfri vårdmiljö, trots det förekommer smittspridning inom hälso och sjukvården. Meticillinresistenta staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) hos patienter, personal, men också i vårdmiljön utgör en risk. För att tidigt upptäcka, förebygga och förhindra smittspridning behövs rutiner för vård, hantering av utrustning samt städning av vårdlokaler.

    Syfte: Syftet var att beräkna andelen miljöodlingar som visade växt av MRSA i vårdrum efter slutstädning, efter vård av patient med känd MRSA, samt om patientens riskfaktorer eller vårdtidens längd påverkade resultatet.

    Metod: En kvantitativ studie med ett konsekutivt material som utgörs av data från sammanlagt 180 utförda miljöodlingar i Region Halland. Materialet är bearbetat i statistikprogrammet, SPSS, och analyserat med Chi2 test.

    Resultat: I 14 % (25 av 180) av miljöodlingar påvisades MRSA i vårdmiljön. Riskfaktorers påverkan kunde inte påvisas vad det gällde sår/hudlesioner, dränage, katetrar, tracheostomi eller andra konstgjorda kroppsöppningar. Däremot fanns en signifikant ökad risk att finna MRSA i vårdrummet, efter slutstädning, om vårdtiden överstigit 1 dygn.

    Slutsats: Studien visar att slutstädningens kvalitet är viktig och troligen mer betydelsefull än inverkan av patientens riskfaktorer eftersom det inte gick att påvisa något statistiskt signifikant samband mellan patientens riskfaktorer och förekomst av MRSA i vårdrummet efter slutstädning. Däremot kan vårdtiden användas vid bedömning av ökad risk för växt och smittspridning av MRSA och rutiner borde eventuellt anpassas utifrån det.

    Knowledge transfer between consultants and organizational users influences the outcomes of an Enterprise Resource System (ERP) implementation. Configuration and implementation tasks are dependent on generating some level of shared understanding of both business practices and technology. These problems become acute in implementations in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). SMEs often operate with non-standard business processes, making an effective interchange of process knowledge between consultants and end-users crucial. Using a multiple case study method and content analysis, the authors investigate the mediating role of absorptive capacity in knowledge transfer in SMEs ERP implementations. They present exploratory case studies from 3 Nigerian companies with varying outcomes, and hypothesize that knowledge transfer is complicated by acute information asymmetry, absence of pre-existing related knowledge and consequent difficulties in developing a shared understanding, and by a tendency to operate with lone consultants and lone organizational representatives.

    Bakgrund: I Sverige diagnostiseras 9400 kvinnor av bröstcancer varje år och högre ålder är en betydande riskfaktor. Bröstcancer diagnostiseras med trippeldiagnostik; mammografi, palpation och cytologi. Behandlingen av bröstcancer utgörs av kirurgi, strålnings-, hormon- och cytostatikabehandling. Människan erfar och upplever, vilket också är anknutet till omgivningen och andra individer. Den sexuella hälsan är komplex och är relaterad till kvinnors kroppsuppfattning. God kroppsbild ger ökat välbefinnande och sexuell hälsa. Omvårdnaden av kvinnors sexuella hälsa utförs av sjuksköterskan som ska ge stöd och information till kvinnor. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien är att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av sin sexualitet efter genomgången mastektomi. Metod: Vald metod var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av sin sexuella hälsa efter mastektomi genom att analysera kvalitativa artiklar ur ett patientperspektiv i en litteraturstudie. Resultat: Resultatet visar att kvinnor som genomgått mastektomi drabbas av lägre självförtroende relaterad till försämrad kroppsbild. Kvinnorna upplever också sexuella problem så som vaginal torrhet, minskad sexlust och svårighet att uppnå orgasm. Kvinnorna upplever att stöd från partner och sjukvården är väsentligt för bättre upplevd sexuell hälsa, men att stöd och information är bristande från sjukvården. Slutsats: Kvinnor som genomgår mastektomi behöver ökat stöd från sjukvården för att uppleva delaktighet och trygghet i sin vård och vardag.

    Studien har undersökt om rörelsesättet hos en underförstådd arketyp kan påverka sättet en spelare interagerar med en virtuell miljö. För att ta reda på detta skapades ett spel som kan spelas i två olika versioner där avatarens rörelsesätt är den enda skillnaden. Data samlades in via enkät och via spelet som skapats. Resultatet antyder att spelaren anpassar sitt beteende efter sättet som avataren rör sig. Detta belyser även hur man kan utnyttja arketyper för att fömedla avatarens personlighet och dispositioner.

    Much has been written about measuring the feelings and impressions of women regarding their experience of miscarriage. According to the existential philosopher Heidegger life experiences such as the experience of a woman having a miscarriage can be interpreted and explained only in the context of the totality of the women’s experiences in the past, the present, and the future. Thirteen in-depth interviews with women about their experiences of miscarriage were interpreted with respect to Heidegger’s “Being and Time”. By using his inter-pretive phenomenology the essence of the miscarriage experience was explored and defined. The women’s feelings and impressions were influenced by past experiences of miscarriage, pregnancy, and births. Present conditions in the women’s lives contributing to the experience include their relationships, working situation, and living conditions. Each woman’s future prospects and hopes have been structurally altered with regard to their aspirations for their terminated pregnancy. The impact of miscarriage in a woman’s life was found to be more important than caregiver providers and society have previously attributed to in terms of scale. The results of the interviews reveal that the women believed that only women who had experienced their own miscarriages were able to fully understand this complex womanly experience and its effects on the woman who had miscarried.

    Pregnancy has different meanings to different women depending upon their circumstances. A number of qualitative studies have described the experience of miscarriage by women who had desired to carry their pregnancy to full term. The aim of this meta-analysis was to identify a scale of psychological reaction to miscarriage. Meta-analysis is a quantitative approach for reviewing articles from scientific journals through statistical analysis of findings from individual studies. In this review, a meta-analytic method was used to identify and analyze psychological reactions in women who have suffered a miscarriage. Different reactions to stress associated with the period following miscarriage were identified. The depression reaction had the highest average, weighted, unbiased estimate of effect (d+= 0.99) and was frequently associated with the experience of perinatal loss. Psychiatric morbidity was found after miscarriage in 27% of cases by a diagnostic interview ten days after miscarriage. The grief reaction had a medium d+ of 0.56 in the studies included. However, grief after miscarriage differed from other types of grief after perinatal loss because the parents had no focus for their grief. The guilt is greater after miscarriage than after other types of perinatal loss. Measurement of the stress reaction and anxiety reaction seems to be difficult in the included studies, as evidenced by a low d+ (0.17 and 0.16, respectively). It has been recommended that grief after perinatal loss be measured by an adapted instrument called the Perinatal Grief Scale Short Version.

    Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide better organization and more efficient use of resources within the health care system in order to identify women with nonviable pregnancy earlier in their gestation terms and also to identify those women who experience severe grief reaction after the miscarriage. The proposed solution is to offer an appointment with a gynecologist during regular office hours after consultation with the patient’s midwife to women experiencing symptoms and who are concerned with the viability of their pregnancy. Unnecessary contact with the emergency room by the patients would be reduced as a result of this improvement in organization. The aim of the study was to give the women experiencing missed miscarriage an increased sense of well-being by applying Swanson’s Caring Theory to their recovery, in addition to the better organization and more efficient use of resources.

    Method: Both the original study from 2002 to 2003 and the later study from 2004 to 2005 applied Swanson’s Caring Theory in the follow-up care management of the women, but only the later study was influenced by the changes made in the health care system. In the past, diagnosis of missed miscarriage was delayed because women experiencing minor symptoms were not highly prioritized in the health care system. More active support was introduced in order to get the proper information to the patient throughout the health care system. The size of the original study database was n=43, compared with the later study database, which was n=56. All of the women answered the Perinatal Grief Scale (PGS) questions twice, 1 month and 4 months after their diagnosis. Some additional questions about their circumstances unrelated to the PGS were also mailed to the women 4 months after their diagnosis.

    Results: As a result of the more active support, women felt that they received professional care when they needed it most. The patients were satisfied that they were treated as if they were suffering from normal grief. The group score above the limits for deep grief 4 months after diagnosis was significantly lowered. The chances of receiving their diagnosis at an appointment during office hours increased (odds ratio 3.38). Sick leave time of more than a week was reduced from 44% in the original study to 22% in the later study.

    Cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women worldwide. In Sweden cervical cancer is the fifteenth most common cancer among women and accounts for 1.9 percent of all female cancers. The Swedish Pap smear screening program is enabling early detection of cell changes in order that treatment may be administered to prevent the development of cancerous cells. There are approximately four hundred and fifty cases of cervical cancer detected each year in Sweden and of these cases, approximately seventy five percent occur in women who do not participate in the screening and testing program. The purpose of this study was to illustrate and examine the reasons why women did not participate in the program even though they had received a notice that they had an appointment for a Pap smear test. In the study fourteen women from a district in the west of Sweden were interviewed. In order to analyse the interviews a qualitative content analysis according to Lundman and Graneheim was used. The analysis resulted in the development of three categories which were identified as communication, treatment and subterfuge (reasons or excuses for not participating). The theme of the study was the professional treatment of the women’s conditions. In the interviews the women emphasize the importance of professional treatment that is administered with respectful and sympathetic care throughout the whole healthcare system regardless of where and when the visit was conducted. Efficient organization and clear communication would minimize the inconvenience for the women during their visit.

    Background: The aim of this study was to pilot test a prototype website called MODIAB-web designed to support pregnant women and mothers with type 1 diabetes.

    Method: A focus group was undertaken and the results were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.

    Results: Eight subthemes were identified, comprising "blood glucose versus insulin," "application for smart phones," "the time aspect," "interface and technology," "forum," "direct link to the diabetes midwife," "ask the expert," and "lack of contact information." These subthemes were condensed into two main themes. The first theme was "easily understood interface, but in need of a more blood-glucose focused orientation" and the second theme was "forum for interaction with both equals and experts."

    Conclusion: The women in this study had positive impressions of several of the MODIAB-web functions, including a forum for pregnant mothers with type 1 diabetes and the possibility of being able to put their blood glucose levels into a diagram which could be sent directly to the diabetes midwife. Access to articles and information via the "fact" tab and the ability to ask questions of experts were also significantly helpful to women in the focus group. Pregnant women and mothers with type 1 diabetes can gain support from such a Web-based self-help system.

    Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate how Swedish women describe their emotional state of being during the eighth week through the eleventh week after they have become pregnant again after suffering a previous miscarriage. Method: A qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach has been used to analyze fourteen interviews that served as the data base for this study. The content analysis resulted in the development of five categories which evolved into one primary theme. Findings: The five categories identified were Worry and preoccupation; Distance; managing their feelings; Mourning what is lost; Guarded happiness and expectations. These categories were compiled into a main theme, “Worry consumes a lot of energy, but on the other side lies happiness”. This theme focused on whether the women could feel any happiness about being pregnant again despite their concerns with the previous miscarriage. Conclusions: The emotional states of the women when they get pregnant again are typically characterized by anxiety, worry and concerns about their current pregnancy. The women have a tendency to distance themselves emotionally from their pregnancy but also strive to find the joy of being pregnant again. During the new pregnancy they find themselves in need of support from their family and friends as well as in need of support from the healthcare system.

    Objective. To describe quality of life in men and women who had terminated in vitro fertilization (IVF) within the public health system 4-5.5 years previously, and for whom treatment did not result in childbirth. Design. Cross-sectional study. Setting. Reproductive Unit, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden. Sample. Four hundred pairs were invited to participate, 71% accepted and 68% completed questionnaires. Methods. Questionnaire study. Study subgroups were compared with a control group with children and with each other. Main outcome measure. Psychological General Well-Being (PGWB), Sense of Coherence (SOC), experience of infertility, demographic-socio-economic and health characteristics were measured. Results. Surprisingly, 76.7% had or lived together with children; 39.6% had biological children, 34.8% had adopted and 3.7% were parents to both biological and adopted children. No differences were found between the study and the control groups, except in SOC which scored lower in the study group. The study group with children had a higher PGWB index than the 23.3% without children and the controls. SOC scored higher in the subgroup with than those without children. Infertility was still a central issue in the subgroup without children. Conclusion. Despite having undergone unsuccessful IVF within the public health system, more than 75% lived with children 4-5.5 years later. This subgroup had a better quality of life, compared to those without children. Additional IVF treatment may result in increased quality of life.

    Background. Grief is a normal phenomenon but showing great variation depending on cultural and personal features. Bonanno and Kaltman have nonetheless proposed five aspects of normal grief. The aim of this study was to investigate if women with miscarriage experience normal grief. Material and methods. Content analyses of 25 transcribed conversations with women 4 weeks after their early miscarriages were classified depending on the meaning-bearing units according to Bonanno and Kaltman’s categories. In the factor analyses, these categories were compared with the Perinatal Grief Scale and women's age, number of children and number of miscarriages, and gestational weeks. Results. Women with miscarriage fulfill the criteria for having normal grief according to Bonanno and Kaltman. All of the 25 women had meaning-bearing units that were classified as cognitive disorganization, dysphoria, and health deficits, whereas disrupted social and occupational functioning and positive aspects of bereavement were represented in 22 of 25 women. From the factor analysis, there are no differences in the expression of the intensity of the grief, irrespective of whether or not the women were primiparous, younger, or had suffered a first miscarriage. Conclusion. Women’s experience of grief after miscarriage is similar to general grief after death. After her loss, the woman must have the possibility of expressing and working through her grief before she can finish her pregnancy emotionally. The care-giver must facilitate this process and accept that the intensity of the grief is not dependent on the woman’s age, or her number of earlier miscarriages.

    We investigated the effect of a changed routine to identify women with a nonviable pregnancy, in order to utilize health care resources more efficiently during office hours rather than relying on emergency care services. From hospital register data about where and when women with miscarriages were treated, there was a significant trend during a nine-year period for miscarriages to be more rarely diagnosed (p-value<0.001) in the emergency ward after office hours. The proportion of miscarriages that were diagnosed and handled at the emergency ward decreased from 31% in 2001 to 17% in 2009. Furthermore, the number of women showing up with bleeding at the emergency ward, but who also had a normal viable pregnancy, declined during the same period (p-value<0.01). Women with suspected miscarriage benefit from structured information and standardized management and can effectively be scheduled for day-time assessment including ultrasound with a concomitant reduced need for emergency services.

    This report aims to explore a possible transparent alternative to the black box approach of machine learning in identifying a ship’s type from simple movement data, consisting of a set of coordinates with timestamps. This is achieved by an application that converts the set of coordinates to vectors and assigns them various traits, such as turn radius, speed and distance traveled, and then identifying the correlation between collections of different values of these traits, called granules, and different ship types. The results show a definite connection between certain kinds of granules and certain ship types and lay the foundation for building a more well defined syntax for ship identification.

    BAKGRUND: Humant Immunbrist Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) är en pandemi som hårdast drabbat utvecklingsländer i världen. I Sydafrika är 6,300 000 HIV/AIDS positiva. Studier visar att människor som lever i fattigdom utsätts för den största risken att bli drabbad av HIV/AIDS, då utbildning och möjligheten till val av livsstil är låg. Skam och stigmatisering drabbar både människan i fråga och dess närstående. SYFTE: Syftet med studien är att beskriva Sydafrikanska människor upplevelse av sin livssituation efter en HIV/AIDS diagnos. METOD: Litteraturöversikt, åtta artiklar har analyserats för att nå arbetets resultat. RESULTAT: Resultatet är uppbyggt under tre huvudteman; Egenupplevt och samhällets skuldbeläggande hos HIV/AIDS-positiva människor, Viktiga faktorer för att uppnå en känsla av hälsa hos HIV/AIDS-positiva människor samt Behov och längtan av stöd från närstående. Resultatet beskriver att den drabbade värderar anonymitet högt för att undvika samhällets stigmatisering. Gott bemötande hos vårdpersonalen visade sig också vara en viktig faktor för välbefinnande hos människan, men även stöd från familj. Stödet från familjen upplevdes dock i vissa fall som svårt att finna. DISKUSSION: Stigma som är ett stort problem hos den drabbade skulle kunna minskas med utbildning och spridning av kunskap hos allmänheten. Bemötande som ger människan en känsla av trygghet och ett system som är gynnsamt för individens anonymitet är eftersökt. Detta trots att forskning visar att en öppenhet uppmuntras hos de HIV positiva för att minska stigma. Rädslan är dock för stor för att detta skulle kunna bli aktuellt för många

    Inledning: Trots vetskapen om vikten av fysisk aktivitet rör männiksor på sig allt mindre, vilket kan bero på ändrade förutsättningar i samhället. En väletablerad faktor, som påverkar intresset för att vara fysisk aktiv, är den byggda miljön. Syftet med litteraturöversikten är därför att beskriva vilka faktorer i den byggda miljön som främjar fysisk aktiviet hos vuxna kvinnor och män. Metod: Uppsatsen utgår från metoden litteraturöersikt och är baserad på tio vetenskapliga originalartiklar. Resultat: Genom analyser av de tio vetenskapliga artiklarna kunde fyra teman urskiljas; tillgänglighet till cyckel- och gångvägar, avstånd till grönområden och parker, miljömässiga faktorer och faciliteter samt antal parker/grönområden och deras areal. Diskussion: Faktorer som lättillgänglighet till cykel- och gångvägar, litet avstånd till grönområden och parker samt faciliteter i den byggda miljön visade sig främja rörelse. Även antal parker/grönområden och deras areal gynnade fysisk aktivitet hos vuxna kvinnor och män. Några resultat visade dock andra utgångar där avståndet till gröna ytor samt att antalet parker inte var av signifikant betydelse för fysisk aktivitet.

    Bakgrund: Att få diagnosen bröstcancer sätter hela tillvaron på spel, särskilt för ungakvinnor i fertil ålder, då de ofta befinner sig i en komplex livssituation. Syfte: Syftet meddenna studie är att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter och upplevelser av vad som ärviktigt i omvårdnaden av unga kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Metod: Kvalitativmetod med halvstrukturerade forskningsintervjuer, enligt Kvale och Brinkmann haranvänts. De transkriberade intervjuerna har analyserats med kodning, meningskoncentreringoch meningstolkning. Resultat: Omvårdnaden av unga kvinnor med bröstcancer skiljer siginte från andra patientgrupper. Även om alla patienter ska behandlas på lika villkor, skaomvårdnaden individanpassas. Viktiga delar, exempelvis djupa samtal, upplevs som svåra iomvårdnaden och hänvisas till andra yrkesgrupper. Dock betonar sjuksköterskorna viktenav dessa samtal för att få en relation till patienterna. Diskussion: Vårdrelationen är viktigför att få tillgång till vad patienterna anser vara viktigt i omvårdnaden. Utan den är det intemöjligt att ge patienterna rätt stöd. Vårdandet bör vara individanpassat eftersomupplevelsen av hälsa är subjektiv. Sjuksköterskorna verkar ovana att reflektera över sigsjälva och sina erfarenheter, något som speglas i deras ovilja att diskutera känsliga ämnen.

    Delar av dagens samhälle fortsätter att datoriseras och nya möjligheter för interaktion med datoriserade produkter som stödjer social interaktion introduceras i ökad takt. Själva grunden för hur organisationer ser ut förändras och pekar mot ett allt mer distribuerat sätt där människor kan interagera med varandra utan att vara på samma plats, vid samma tidpunkt. Samtidigt visar forskning att det finns brister i användbarhet hos gruppverktyg. Kognitiva arbetsmiljöproblem (KAMP) kan uppstå när användbarhet brister men har hittills främst studerats ur ett enanvändarperspektiv. Syftet med den här rapporten är att identifiera samt klassificera socio-kognitiva arbetsmiljöproblem (SKAMP) inom datorstött samarbete för att bidra med kunskap som i förlängningen kan leda till en tydligare förståelse kring SKAMP. En arbetsplatsstudie utfördes där distribuerad kognition användes som analysverktyg. Studien genomfördes på en avdelning inom en organisation där förutsättningarna för att finna SKAMP ansågs som gynnsamma. Genom att anta ett distribuerat synsätt där observationer av avbrott och ”mismatches” i informationsflödet beaktats samt hur kognitiva processer implementeras i en grupp mynnade det analyserade materialet ut i fem kategorier av SKAMP: Problem med informationskoordinering, ”Bristande kommunikation”, ”gemensam lägesbildsaknas”, ”Brister i medierad kommunikation”, ”Otillräcklig kontroll och överblick”och ”Oklar holistisk helhetsmodell”. Dessa skall ses som komplement till de redan idag identifierade KAMP.

    Steampunk är en subgenre av science fiction. Genren steampunk handlar om alternativ historia under den industriella revolutionen och kännetecknas av en utbredd användning av ångmaskiner. Genren existerar i alla typer av media såsom böcker, film, spel, etc. Steampunk har många fans i hela världen.

    Det finns många undersökningar som har steampunk som tema, som till exempel en undersökning om ett fantasyelement i steampunkgenren (Karlsson, 2013) eller en analys av steampunkdesign och historia (Tanenbaum, Tanenbaum,  Wakkary, 2012). Samtidigt finns artiklar som flyttar fram genrens gränser och till exempel visar steampunk under vildavästerntiden (Miller & Van Riper, 2011). Liksom dessa undersökningar kommer denna undersökning att studera steampunkgenren och dess ”fanbas”.

    Syftet med undersökningen är att analysera steampunkgenren och datorspelande i relation till denna genre. Grundidén är att skapa en implementation av sci fi-element i en steampunkkaraktär och visa upp karaktären såväl för personer som känner till genren som för dem som inte känner till steampunk för att se om informanternas reaktionsmönster är likartade. Ska informanterna känna igen sci fi-elementet och ska de acceptera det när det sitter på en steampunkkaraktär? Vidare fokuserar undersökningen på interaktion med karaktären. En enkät kommer att göras för att se huruvida det finns olika reaktionsmönster hos informanterna när de analyserar steampunkkaraktären dels genom 2D-bildmaterial och dels genom en 3D interagerbar artefakt.

    Undersökningen använder en kvantitativ (Østbye m.fl., 2008:157) nätenkät med kvalitativa (Østbye m.fl., 2008:101) element i form av textsvar. Nätenkäten ska visa informanternas gensvar på de olika kontexterna som visas i bilderna och hur informaterna reagerar på en interaktiv avatarkaraktär. På samma gång ska enkäten visa hur steampunk-fans och icke-fans reagerar på implementationen av sci fi-element på steampunkkaraktären.
