    Abstract [sv]

    Bakgrund: Sömnen är ett grundläggande behov hos människan och är därför viktig att tillgodose inom sjukvården. Ändå är sömnstörningar ett vanligt problem bland patienter i sjukhusmiljö och särskilt inom intensivvården. Sömnstörningar på en intensivvårdsavdelning orsakas ofta av frekventa omvårdnadsinsatser, behandlingar, sjukdomstillstånd samt högljudd och ovan miljö. Detta kan leda till både psykiska och fysiska konsekvenser så som försämring av immunförsvar, minskad produktion av tillväxthormoner, förlängt sjukdomsförlopp, humörförändringar och upphov av IVA-syndrom. Därför är det viktigt att vårdpersonal får kunskap om hur de bäst arbetar för att främja dessa patienters sömn. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att sammanställa och belysa forskning som beskriver omvårdnadsåtgärder och strategier för att främja sömn hos patienter inom intensivvården. Metod: En litteraturöversikt där 15 kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier analyserades. Resultat: Resultatet redogör för de tre områden som framkom ur dataanalysen och beskriver hur omvårdnadspersonal kan hjälpa patienter inom intensivvård till en bättre sömn. Dessa tre områden var: förändring av personalens arbetssätt genom utbildning, miljöförbättringar samt omvårdnadsåtgärder. Diskussion: Flera effektiva åtgärder finns presenterade i dagens forskning men fortfarande lider intensivvårdspatienter av sömnstörningar vilket gör det angeläget att fortsätta forskningen kring sömnförbättrande åtgärder hos denna patientgrupp.

    Abstract [sv]

    Det här examensarbetet har haft som mål att undersöka till vilken grad musik påverkar spelinlevelsen i ett penna och papper RPG. Spelinlevelsen har delats upp i fyra olika nivåer för att lättare kunna se skillnader mellan spel med eller utan musik. En enkät användes för att mäta spelinlevelsen, denna är validerad och tagen ifrån en tidigare studie om spelinlevelse dock med vissa modifikationer gjorda. Studien jämförde två olika grupper som fick spela två 45 minuters sessioner av rollspelande, där ena gruppen hade musik och den andra inte. Resultatet ger indikationer på att musik kan vara en faktor för att ge högre spelinlevelse dock behövs mer data för att kunna definitivt ge ett svar.

    Abstract [en]

    According to the steering documents it is the teacher's responsibility to make every student feel safe. The aim is that through interviews with students in grades 2-3 from the focus groups show the factors that can provide security and insecurity in a schoolyard, in order to provide identifying factors that affect students' perception of security and insecurity. We also want to examine whether there are specific areas that constitute potential risk zones for students.

     

    We began by doing a pilot study to test the questions. Subsequently we conducted interviews with students in grades 4-5. We have used a qualitative approach with focus interviews. Five focus interviews with five students at each interview were performed.

     

    Our results show several factors that students either felt created security or insecurity. The factors identified as contributing to security was confirmation from friends, the game creates community, the size of the schoolyard and space for play, access to playmaterial, freedom to choose the activity and the teachers' presence. Factors that contributed to the insecurity was a fight, exclusion, vehicular and teachers' absence. Results also show where there is potential danger zones for students. Finally, the conclusions drawn about how security is tied to social interaction and a categorization of student statements from entirely safe to precarious was made.

     

    In the discussion we reflect on the method chosen. Then discussed the results and the literature in relation to the problems that can arise when working with different students. Although the social interaction positive advantages and disadvantages discussed utanförskapets and the pedagogical implications affecting friend relations and conflict resolution. Finally, suggestions for further research.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: To go through treatment against haematological cancer means a big change in the daily life. Symptoms and side effects makes a big impact on both body and soul. Haematological cancer includes, in this study, three different types of cancer: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The treatments given for haematological cancer involves stem cell transplant, radiation therapy and chemo therapy. Purpose: The purpose with this study was to describe patients’ experiences during treatments for haematological cancer. Method: The data was analyzed through a qualitative analysis of the context. Data were collected from six blogs. Result: Three categories emerged from the analysis; the new situation of the patients everyday life, the emotional rollercoaster and continuously comply with the body's limitations, with seven sub-categories. Conclusion: The result of this study has contributed with further knowledge about persons living with haematological cancer. This knowledge can help nurses give these patients a good, patient-centered care and raise their well-being.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: Bipolar disorder is a chronic disease that entails suffering for the individual. The disease characterized by recurrent manic and depressive episodes. It affects the individual's lifeworld and his or her's health experience. The nurse has a significant role to support these patients.

    Aim: The aim is to describe patients' experiences of living with bipolar disorder.

    Method: A qualitative method was used and was based on six autobiographies analyzed with meaning analysis.

    Results: The results showed five themes. These are: the experience of living in the pitch-black darkness and the clearest light, the experience of shame, the experience of losing control of their life, the experience of fear and the sense of safty and support to reduce loneliness.

    Discussion: People with bipolar disorder experience both health and illness, depending on their current state of disease. The family and society have an impact on how the individual experience their existence. With support from a nurse the person can achieve control of the disease. Their reality is constantly changing and support from a nurse is important.

    Conclusion: People with bipolar disorder experience strong emotions that affect their lives. For people to feel seen and recognized the nurse must show candidness to the individual's unique lifeworld.

    Abstract [sv]

    Denna rapport beskriver utformningen, implementationen och utvärderingen av en arkitektur för dynamisk hantering av grafiska gränssnitt. Den dynamiska hanteringen handlar om möjligheten att ladda in och ladda ur gränssnitt som är specificerade i dokument utan att starta om spelet.

    Arkitekturen realiserades genom att implementera ett system i C++. Resultatet blev ett fullt fungerande system som klarar att hantera flera gränssnittsdokument dynamiskt. Dokumenten som hanteras av systemet är skrivna i XML format som fungerar väl för beskrivning av gränssnitt.

    Arbetet kommer fram till att förutom möjligheten att beskriva gränssnitt i form att kontroller och deras egenskaper behövs ett system för att hanterade händelser i gränssnittet. T.ex. när en knapp trycks så ska något hända. Därför undersöks möjligheterna för specifikation av händelsehantering i dokumentformatet. Utvecklingen av denna hantering når dock inte långt, detta arbete skrapar bara på ytan av problematiken.

    Hur Use Case-tekniken utvecklats och vilken kritik som riktats mot tekniken beskrivs även detta i arbetet.

    Undersökningen utgår ifrån hur de systemutvecklare som använder tekniken upplever att denna är beskriven och utfördes med enkäter och intervjuer.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this study is to investigate students' perception of how computers are used in teaching. The question was to see if there are benefits, drawbacks, and if there are areas of change to use computers in teaching. Data Usage is increasing in today's society and in most schools, students get a private student computer use in education. Studies show that data usage will need to be individualized to better help the individual student. The wording of their school says that students should learn IT for their future profession and to better discuss with their consumers / patients. The method used is interviews. Six students in grades three to Health and care program in high school were interviewed. Four interviews were conducted in the study, three individual interviews and group interviews. The results indicate student computer means access to the student when it facilitates the ability to take notes. The computer prevents students in the teaching when it is watched on social media during class, making it difficult to focus on the teacher during the lesson. The computer makes it easier for students to organize their student records in a better way. The possibilities for change focused on improving their notes.

    Abstract [en]

    The reason why the authors conducted this study was that breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among women. For most women the diagnosis means that the entire or parts of the breast will have to be removed. For most women the breast represents sexuality and femininity. The aim was to describe how female sexuality and sexual relationship change after breast cancer surgery and subsequent treatment. The method was a qualitative litterature review. The study resulted in three main categories: (1) a changed body – a changed sexuality, (2) a changed sexuality – a changed sexual relationship, (3) emotional changes in sexuality, and thirteen subcategories. The result shows that female sexuality changes physically as well as psychically. Most women experience changes in body image, decreased sexual desire and pleasure. Intercourse becomes painful which makes many women withdraw from their partner. Many women experience difficulties in communicating about their changed sexuality with their partner. The result also shows that sometimes health care providers give poor information to women about plausible side effects due to breast cancer surgery and subsequent treatment. Because many women with breast cancer experience sexual problems nurses should give better information about plausible side effects from the treatment and highlight these problems. Nurses should also enable conversations with women regarding their thoughts concerning their changed sexuality.

    The nuclear issue is highly topical after the Fukushima-accident and since the concept

    of democracy is the foundation of the Swedish school, it's pertinent to question how

    different forms of nuclear education is related to the democracy assignment. The

    purpose of this study was to examine how some teachers describe their nuclear

    education in relation to the democratic assignment and to create a roleplay about nuclear

    power using the teachers' thoughts and the democratic engagement. The first part of the

    study is based on interviews with high school teachers in science studies. They

    described their nuclear education and their dictums were analyzed in relation to the

    school's democratic assignment. The interviews revealed, not just factual about nuclear

    education, but also goals that can be linked to the democratic engagement; students

    should be able to argue, participate in public debate and take a position on the nuclear

    issue. Some described the factual knowledge as the primary objective, others as a means

    to achieve other objectives, such as the above. Respondents used different teaching

    methods, most common were traditional theory lessons and discussions. Positive was

    that the teachers pointed out many goals of democratic character, maybe because the

    nuclear issue is a controversial social issue, which may have led to that it's being

    considered a political issue. The study's second part was mainly based on literature and

    advice from experts in role-playing. The results showed that the role play, in theory,

    may develop important democratic skills and knowledge in students.

    Abstract [en]

    Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer affecting women. The treatment of breast cancer may lead to forcing the woman to remove her breast. The breast is a symbol of femininity and sexuality for many women. The purpose of this literature-based study is to describe women's experiences of altered body image and sexuality after mastectomy. This may provide a better understanding of the nurse in responding to these breast cancer patients. The method used is a qualitative literature-based method, based on qualitative analysis of 13 articles. The results show that women undergoing mastectomy feel loss of part of the body, loss of sexuality and womanhood and that their bodies and sexuality are changing. Many women feel that their bodies have been mutilated and disfigured which leads to decreased sexual desire. The desire to feel normal again is great and to meet that many women undergoing breast reconstruction or prosthesis wear. Given that many women suffer as a result out of their changing body image and sexuality following a mastectomy, it is important that the nurse has knowledge of women’s experience of altered body and sexuality. The knowledge leads to better response from the nurse to patients' experiences of illness and suffering and to mitigate this as far as possible.

    Abstract [en]

    It is becoming increasingly common for companies to publish sustainability reports. These aim to report the companies social, environmental and economical impact in a transparent and balanced way. Previous research has questioned the motives behind companies' work with CSR issues. Some argue that companies not only publish their sustainability reports to take responsibility for their impact, but also to use it as a marketing tool.

    There is a strong link between the fashion industry and CSR-related questions, as the industry has an affect on both environmental, social and economic conditions in their production chain. With this in mind, this study aimed to examine the way in which fashion enterprises on the Swedish market present themselves in their sustainability reports. The aim was to create an understanding of what is reported and furthermore describe how the companies portray themselves. This in order to come to a conclusion whether companies use their sustainability reports as marketing material, or if the reports are produced solely as factual information. In order to answer the research question, the sustainability reports were analysed in two steps. Firstly, a qualitative description of each company was made in order to convey a comprehensive picture of the content of the sustainability reports. Moreover a quantitative content analysis was carried out, which treated factors as the “content”, “non-narrative information”, “business relationships”, “future hopes”, “actual behaviour”, “positive and negative revelations related to the company” and “the legitimisation of negative aspects”.

    The study showed that fashion enterprises mainly present social information, and also that the content is primarily positive, which corresponds with previous research. Furthermore, images are used to a great extent in relation to the number of pages of the reports. In light of this the impression is that the companies chose to present themselves in a positive manner with tendencies towards marketing.

    Abstract [sv]

    Denna rapport innehåller en undersökning av vilka aspekter som är avgörande för att en systemutvecklingsprocess leder till slutprodukter med väl användbara gränssnitt. Rapporten innehåller dessutom ett antal riktlinjer för hur en systemutvecklingsmetod kan förbättras med avseende på användbarhet.

    För att genomföra undersökningen har jag valt att utvärdera hur två systemutvecklingsmetoder, SSADM och IDM, hanterar användbarhetsaspekter. Jag har utvärderat dessa metoder utifrån följande frågeställningar: om de stödjer gränssnittsdesign, om de är iterativt användarorienterade, om de involverar designers med speciella gränssnittskunskaper, om de har fokus på användarna, om de innehåller tidiga och kontinuerliga tester av användbarhet, om de har en integrerad utveckling samt om de innehåller stöd för prototyping. Det som framkommer i rapporten är att ovanstående frågeställningar till viss del är avgörande för att säkerställa slutprodukter med väl användbara gränssnitt. Förutom ovanstående aspekter är det dessutom av vikt att ta hänsyn till användbarhet i samband med kravinsamling och kravanalys. Rapporten avslutas med ett antal riktlinjer att ha i åtanke vid design av slutprodukter med användbara gränssnitt.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: Suicide attempts among adolescents is increasing rapidly. School nurses need to use communication skills that reflect compassion by creating trusting relationships, see and meet the student in their life-world and give hope.

     

    Purpose: To describe the school nurses' experiences of encountering and discovering students with suicidal thoughts.

     

    Method: The study is based on a qualitative meaning analysis where eight school nurses by email wrote stories about their experiences to answer the purpose.

     

    Results: School nurses experiences of discovering students with suicidal thoughts is to have knowledge about the different symptoms that can be displayed by the student. The school nurses experiences of these symptoms where: Destructive behaviours, depressive symptoms, psychosomatic symptoms and problematic home situations. In the meeting with students who have suicidal thoughts, school nurses emphasize the importance of asking about suicidal thoughts, remain, listen and give hope.

     

    Conclusion: School nurses experience many risk factors that leads to that they can better detect and meet students with suicidal thoughts. To identify those risk factors are a big part of the school nurses work. This study results provide a greater knowledge and more experience for health professionals to encounter students with suicidal thoughts.

    Abstract [en]

    Curriculum for the Compulsory School System, the Pre-School Class and the Leisure-time Centre (Lpo 94) is clear in its definition that individualized tuition shall be applied in the school and that the tuition shall come from the individual pupil’s needs. Since research emphasizes that the definition and meaning of the term needs is not clear we found it interesting to research how teachers define the meaning of the term individualized tuition in school year 1 with special focus on the aspect of pupils’ needs. In order to study active teachers’ reasoning and dictums regarding this we chose a qualitative method with interviews as aid to gather data. The collected material has been analyzed and subsequently discussed with reference to research within the area. The result shows that individualized tuition is regarded as a question of conditions. The identification of individual pupils’ needs is what is perceived to be the basis of how the education should be individualized. The difficulty lies in that it is not always easy to identify the needs. The result showed that the possibility to individualize bases itself in the access of resources and the school subject’s nature. The result also show that age integrated classes is an advantage considering the access of resources, since cooperation between coworkers makes it easier to enable individualized tuition.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: Treatment against breast cancer can cause women various side effects, including dry mucous membranes, itching, as well as deformation of one or both breasts. All in all these side effects can affect women´s experience of their sexuality and create a suffering for them. More knowledge is needed about women´s experience of their sexuality, so the nurses can provide good care and strengthen the sexual health of women. Aim: The aim of this study is to describe women´s experience of their sexuality during and after treatment of breast cancer. Method: A literature review based on three quantitative and six qualitative studies. Result: Change in body image and sexuality during or after breast cancer treatment, were a common experience among women. Anxiety and depression was common related to weight gain. However, there were women who experienced change in a positive direction after breast cancer. Concern about being insufficient in their sexual relationships with their partner was found. Women experienced lack of information about treatments and their side effects. Discussion: Both physical and mental disorders were experienced by women with breast cancer. Women needed more information before, during, and after treatment for breast cancer. In order to provide personalized care, nurse´s need to see the whole woman and meet her individual needs of caring. Conclusion: Communication both between nurses, women and their partners could strengthen women in their sexual health.

    Ontologies are viewed as increasingly important tools for structuring domains of interests. In this paper we propose a reference ontology of business models using concepts from three established business model ontologies; the REA, BMO, and e3-value. The basic concepts in the reference ontology concern actors, resources, and the transfer of resources between actors. Most of the concepts in the reference ontology are taken from one of the original ontologies, but we have also introduced a number of additional concepts, primarily related to resource transfers between business actors. The purpose of the proposed ontology is to increase the understanding of the original ontologies as well as the relationships between them, and also to seek opportunities to complement and improve on them.

    Abstract [en]

    To create an understanding of enterprises and the ways they do business, a starting point could be to identify the main actors and the values transferred between them. Business models are created in order to make clear who the business actors are in a business case and to make their relations explicit. The relations are formulated in terms of values exchanged between the actors. The purpose of the work reported in this paper is to create a better understanding of business models by identifying basic notions used in such models. It does so by constructing a common ontology based on three established business model ontologies: e3-value, REA, and BMO. By means of a careful analysis of these ontologies a conceptual schema is created that defines the common concepts. An example is worked out that explains how the common ontology should be understood.

    Detta examensarbete undersöker om och hur man med hjälp av filskillnader kan effektivisera uppdateringar av datorspel. Flertalet olika tester med deltaenkodning har utförts, detta på olika versioner av filer från kommersiella och aktuella spel. Bland annat har försöken med deltaenkodning jämförts med de officiella speluppdateringarna, och med vanlig komprimering av de aktuella filerna. Resultaten visar att användning av deltaenkodning på de filer som ändrats mellan spelens versioner kan vara mycket effektivare och ta mindre plats än de officiella speluppdateringarna.

    This study is based on an interest in trying to understand what is needed to ensure that students actually learn in a learning object, in this study equations. Algebra is an area of mathematics in several studies proved to be a stumbling block for many students. Using letters in mathematis is difficult for most students according to research reports and it is also consistent with my own experince as a teacher. The purpose of this study was to seek answers to what in the lesson content and also during the interview that allowed the students to learn more about the learning object. Based on students' prior knowledge and the difficulties students might have with the learning object and the offer of learning, I try to get an answer to what might have contribut the students to developed knowledge of the learning object. This qualitative study is based on a variation theory perspective. The two students who participated in the study attended the same class in high school. By using the theory of variation patterns, it made it possible for me to describe how students learn new things about the learning object, equations. To gain insight into how the students solved the data and developed new knowledge, I had the lesson content and their statements in the interviews to help me understand the difficulties in solving the equtionatask and what in the lessons that have contributed to new knowledge. The results show that pupils' understanding and difficulties in learning objects are relevant to how they can perceive, discern and assimilate new knowledge. One student was able to experience learning from their prior knowledge and assimilate what he had to develop in the variety in the offer of learning. The offered learning did not give the second student the same opportunity. The results indicates that the knowledge of students' prior knowledge, the difficulties the learning object can create and students' own narrative, I argue on the basis of the study'sresults, it is important knowledge for every teacher to be aware of befor the presentation of the lesson if it will give every student opportunities to learn.

    Litteratur inom systemutvecklingsområdet påvisar fördelar med användarmedverkan. Fördelarna kan påverka organisationer och systemutvecklare att vilja involvera användare i utvecklingsarbetet. Det resulterar dock inte automatiskt i att fördelarna uppnås, eftersom det finns faktorer som kan påverka användare under samarbetet.

    Detta arbete syftar till att klargöra vilka faktorer som användare anser vara mest betydelsefulla under samarbetet och vad de anser om faktorerna. Syftet är även att klargöra vilka faktorer systemutvecklare tror att användare anser vara mest betydelsefulla och vad de anser om faktorerna. Likheter och skillnader mellan användares och systemutvecklares rangordning och kommentarer till faktorerna lyfts också fram.

    För att få frågeställningarna i problempreciseringen besvarade har ett antal intervjuer genomförts med användare och systemutvecklare. Resultatet visar att användare rangordnar faktorn tala samma språk högst och faktorn feedback placeras på andra plats. På delad tredje till femte placering hamnar faktorerna att få tala och följa med i diskussioner, motivation och fokusering på arbetsrelaterade frågor. Systemutvecklare sätter faktorn att få tala och följa med i diskussioner främst. På delad andra och tredje plats hamnar faktorerna feedback och motivation.

    Öppen källkod är ett sätt för programutvecklare att distribuera verket tillsammans med dess källkod och göra det fritt läsligt och modifierbart. Denna studie analyserar och identifierar risker och möjligheter som kan uppkomma vid migration till och driftsättning av öppen källkod. Metoden som används är intervjuer med representanter från ett urval av Skaraborgs kommuners IT-avdelningar. Studien har visat indikationer på att både risker och möjligheter skulle kunna finnas. Riskerna ligger främst i att kommunerna bör vara medvetna om att alla roller inom en kommun är viktiga, medan möjligheterna ligger främst i att de indikerar medvetenhet om begränsningar i kunskap vilket är viktigt för en lyckad migration och driftsättning. Framtida arbeten kan behandla olika teknologier så som molntjänster och ”Bring your own device” för att härleda detta mot risker och möjligheter vid migration till och driftsättning av öppen källkod.

    The study aims to give deeper knowledge about the circle time in preschool. The studys starting point is teachers understandings about the function of circle time in preschool and what meaning it has for them. The questions of issue in the study are: What function does the circle time have in preschool? and What meaning have the circle time for teachers?To find out more about teachers' understanding about the circle time, a qualitative method with the interview technique was used. Six teachers with various educations from two preschools was asked to participate, choice of preschools and teachers is based on convenience. The result of the study is that the circle time has two meanings, partly as a phenomenon, partly as a working method. Circle time as a phenomenon shows that the teachers describe the circle time as “something” with focus on the content, for example that the circle time has a social function where the group is strengthen. The result shows that the circle time is a working method that teachers use to widen their view on the circle time and to get knowledge about the children that participate. The circle time gives teachers opportunity to afterwards consider their role and the activity itself.

    Ett samhällsproblem i dagens Sverige är att fler individer i större utsträckning påverkas negativt av sociala medier. Instagram är ett av de största sociala medier som används idag och de bilder som publiceras på Instagram är oftast inriktade på kroppen. Denna kvalitativa fenomenologiska studie har som syfte att utforska och förstå unga individers upplevelse av kroppen vid användandet av Instagram. Studien använder kroppsuppfattning, utseendeideal, social jämförelse, social påverkan och kritiskt tänkande som teoretiska utgångspunkter för att skapa en djupare förståelse kring studiens fenomen och essens. Studien bidrar till en förståelse för det socialpsykologiska perspektivet gällande individens subjektiva upplevelse av kroppen utifrån Instagramanvändning. Tio informanter i åldrarna 18–25 år deltog i semistrukturerade intervjuer som analyserades utifrån en tematisk analysmetod. Resultatet visade att majoriteten av informanterna upplevde den egna kroppen negativt vid användandet av Instagram då de upplevde att kroppen som framställs på Instagram är snyggare, smalare och mer vältränad. Jämförelse mellan den egna kroppen och kroppen på Instagram visade sig därför vara av stor betydelse för hur informanterna upplevde kroppen. Resultatet visade även att kritiskt tänkande är en viktig del i hur nformanterna upplevde deras kroppsuppfattning vid användandet av Instagram.

    Det är ett vanligt förekommande problem inom handeln att kunden alltid hävdar sin rätt vid klagomål. Det är särskilt ett problem för butikerna som vill ha nöjda kunder samtidigt som de måste sätta gränser för att hålla butikerna lönsamma. Butikerna måste därför ha god kunskap om hur man ska kunna sköta klagomålshanteringen på bästa sätt. För att ta reda på hur olika butiker hanterar klagomål, har intervjuer genomförts med både butikschefer och säljare i fyra butiker inom elektronik- och sportbranschen. Genom dessa intervjuer fick vi reda på hur de anser att man ska ta hand om missnöjda kunder, samt vilken utbildning de har inom detta område. Att både butikschefer och säljare tillfrågades, var för att se om det fanns någon skillnad i deras uppfattningar om klagomålshantering. Syftet med undersökningen var att ta reda på vad butiker anser om begreppet ”kunden har alltid rätt”, samt ta reda på hur butikerna hanterar de missnöjda kunderna som klagar. Vi ville veta vad butikerna gör för att tillmötesgå kundernas klagomål och vad de anser att kunden har rätt till. Vi vill även ta reda på om de vet vad kunder har rätt till enligt lag. Utav undersökningen kom vi fram till att det finns dålig utbildning i klagomålshantering, och att de tillfrågade anser att man bäst lär sig detta genom rutin. Butikerna verkar ha lyckats med sin hantering, då de kunder som varit missnöjda ändå stannar kvar som kunder i butiken. Vi fick även reda på att det viktigaste, när man tar emot klagomål från kunder, är att visa förståelse och lyssna på kunden. Vi såg även att uppfattningarna om hur missnöjda kunder ska hanteras skilde sig mellan butikschefer och säljare. Säljare i elektronikbutikerna menar att de är alldeles för generösa när det kommer till att återgälda missnöjda kunder. I sportbutikerna är säljarna striktare genom att de följer lagar och vissa rutiner i dessa situationer. Alla ansåg även att kunder utnyttjar begreppet ”kunden har alltid rätt” och över lag tycker ingen av butikerna i undersökningen att detta uttryck är riktigt, men menar att kunden ska tro det.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: Caring for a person with dementia in special care facilities requires resources like personnel, facilities and medicine. It takes adequate educated staff with personal qualities to create a long-lasting relationship with relatives and residents. Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the experience of being a relative to a person with dementia living in a nursing home. Method: A literature review was conducted in which ten scientific studies were examined and analyzed according to Friberg (2006). Results: Five themes emerged from the analyses describing relatives’ experiences of nursing home care, activities, surroundings and integrity as well as coping strategies. Conclusions: Personal relations are of outmost importance for the experience of being a relative to a person with dementia living in a nursing home. Education and guiding of staff and relatives might prohibit misunderstandings and may help to avoid conflicts.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: Since 1945 obesity has tripled globally and exceeds more than 650 million people in 2016. It results in at least 2.8 million deaths annually and surpass the deaths followed by starvation. There is stigmatization around obesity which may adversely affect the physical and psychological health of the victims. Obese people generally experiences a poorer quality of life. Bariatric surgery has become an increasingly used tool to curb the ongoing obesity epidemic. A behavioural change is required after surgery in order for the weight loss to persist. A sense of coherence is central to health and whether an individual is capable of moving towards health in the presence of stressors. Aim: To describe patient’s experiences of life after bariatric surgery. Method: A literature based study where the data consisted of twelve qualitative articles. Results: From the analysis three categories emerged; from chaos to control, a changed mindset and a changed life and nine subcategories. Conclusion: Life after bariatric surgery was complex and there were differences in capability regarding changing ones behaviour. Nurses need to have a holistic perspective and individualise the support.

    Introduction: When a senior person has a large need for special care there is an option to relocate to a nursing home. The seniors every day varies there for it is of outmost importance the nursing care staff can support the senior that he maybe adapt to the new situation. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to enlighten how relatives experience their close ones in special nursing home receive good care treatment. Method: A quality approach with empirical elements is used where relatives experiences of care, being part of and recievment was collected with the help of interviews. Results: Three categories Care, Involvment and Recievment with nine sub categories. An important part in care is to create good contact between relatives and nursing care staff to evolve good ways for communication. It was revealed how important it is as a health care patient to feel they’re being looked upon for who they are and they be part of treatment measures and decisions made by nursing care staff. Discussion: The results can contribute to an increased understanding to how relatives experience care is being conducted in a special accommodation. When relatives are made more involved in care, may lead to a better care for care patient in a nursing home. Conclusion: The results which have been concluded could be used in educational purposes when the care of senior people demands that nursing care staff continuously renews their knowledges. This could be of use for the nurse, the relatives and the seniors living in a nursing home.

    Introduction: Social media has created a new arena for integration. Social media seems to affect young girls mental health. The purpose of the literature review is to examine some health risks among girls aged 11 to 17 years born after 1993 witch has been exposed to through social media. Method: Ten original articles published in the past five years have been sought out through PubMed. Relevant articles were reviewed and thematized based on health risks which are found in the overview. Results: The literature review examined previous research on health risks in young girls born after 1993 in the use of social media. Girls tend to be more affected by the comments and are affected over time which can lead to depression and anxiety. Self-harm and suicidal tendencies are directly linked to depression. Self-confidence is affected by comments on social media. Girls tend increasingly to suffer from psychosomatic disorders due to use of social media. Social media can increase the feeling of fear and insecurity. The girls' body image is influenced by social media, which ultimately can lead to eating disorders. Discussion: The use of social media can be seen as a health risk in young girls. Nevertheless, the impact of social media is seen as on of the triggers for other underlying causes. Social media can also provide health benefits.

    För att företag skall kunna konkurrera på ständigt föränderliga marknader krävs att de har kunskap om exempelvis kundbehov, konkurrenter och nya produkter. Källor till denna kunskap finns både internt inom organisationer och externt i deras omgivning. Både de interna och externa kunskapskällorna är viktiga, men under de senaste åren har ett allt större intresse riktats mot de externa källorna, då de har blivit allt viktigare för att organisationer effektivt skall kunna hantera sina affärsprocesser.

    En av de kunskapskällorna som ofta nämnts är Internet och den data som lagras på hemsidor runt om i världen. Dock är det svårt att hitta relevant data på Internet på grund av dess omfattning och dynamiska karaktär. Det har därför börjat uppkomma nya tekniker för att inhämta, strukturera och integrera data från Internet. En av dessa tekniker är Webfarming som används för att automatiskt inhämta data från Internet och integrera denna med intern data lagrad i så kallade datalager.

    Dock är mängden litteratur som berör Webfarming begränsad och den som finns är till stor del författad av grundaren till Webfarming, Richard Hackathorn. Denna rapport syftar därför till att undersöka vilka möjligheter och problem som företag ser med Webfarming. Resultatet av denna undersökning har sedan jämförts med befintlig litteratur, för att konstatera eller förstärka de idéer som Hackathorn ger uttryck för.

    The increasing number of biological databases today requires that users are able to search more efficiently among as well as in individual databases. One of the most widespread problems is redundancy, i.e. the problem of duplicated information in sets of data. This thesis aims at implementing an algorithm that distinguishes from other related attempts by using the genomic positions of sequences, instead of similarity based sequence comparisons, when making a sequence data set non-redundant. In an automatic updating procedure the algorithm drastically increases the possibility to update and to maintain the topicality of a non-redundant database. The procedure creates a biologically sound non-redundant data set with accuracy comparable to other algorithms focusing on making data sets non-redundant

    Rapporten undersöker om det är möjligt att använda Clonezilla för distribuerad installation av Windows Vista som alternativ till Symantec Ghost. Ett ytterligare krav är att installationen ska vara automatiserad och inte kräva något extra arbete efter installationens slut. Dessutom ska datorerna vara redo att användas i en Windows-domän efter en färdig installation.

    Programmet Clonezilla är av typen open source och är fritt att använda medan Symantec Ghost är en kommersiell produkt som kräver flertalet licenser beroende på antalet datorer. Clonezilla körs i Linux och saknar grafiskt gränssnitt, Symantec däremot har ett eget gränssnitt för att överskådligt hantera datorer och distribuera operativsystem i välkänd Windows-miljö. Båda lösningarna testas under flera praktiska experiment i labbmiljö. De två programmen jämförs och utvärderas gällande prestanda och användarvänlighet.  Resultaten visar på att skillnaden gällande prestanda är marginell. Gällande användarvänlighet är skillnaden för de båda programmen större då Symantec erbjuder ett grafiskt gränssnitt tillsammans med hjälpavsnitt för produkten. Båda lösningarna fungerar för ändamålet och har olika fördelar respektive nackdelar.

    The interest for cooperative robots has increased considerably in recent years and one of the research issues within this domain is how to evolve heterogeneity in a team. The research today is however either focusing on diversity in hardware (e.g. sensory system) or diversity of behaviour. This dissertation extends this research and presents experiments that attempts to 'co-evolve' heterogeneity at both the hardware level and the behavioural level. The results show that the team behaviour evolved depends on the complexity of the task where adding constraints or increasing the difficulty of the problem lead to better team behaviour.

    Our belief was that the performance of the team should benefit from using robots that has been evolved at the hardware level together with the behavioural level. This, however, could not be proved to be true, but the idea that these two should be kept together in order to evolve heterogeneity in a team is still believed.

    Detta examensarbete behandlar ett experiment som Tom Smith utförde vid sitt magisterarbete, att utveckla en Kheperarobot som ska utföra en fotbollsuppgift av enklare modell. Dock koncentrerar sig detta arbete mer på en evaluering av artificiella neurala nätverk för detta problem. De olika typerna av ANN-arkitekturer som har använts till detta arbete är förutom Tom Smiths, baserade på arkitekturer från en artikel skriven av Stefano Nolfi.

    De resultat som har uppnåtts visar att precis som i Stefano Nolfis artikel är det en arkitektur med "spontan modularitet" som visar sig fungera bäst av de arkitekturer som undersökts, även till detta problem.

    Abstract [en]

    Using surrogate approximations (e.g. Kriging interpolation or artifical neural networks) is an established technique for decreasing the execution time of simulation optimization problems. However, constructing surrogate approximations can be impossible when facing complex simulation inputs, and instead one is forced to use a surrogate model, which explicitly attempts to simulate the inner workings of the underlying simulation model. This dissertation has investigated if postprocessing the output of a surrogate model with an artificial neural network can increase its accuracy and value in simulation optimization problems. Results indicate that the technique has potential in that when output post-processing was enabled the accuracy of the surrogate model increased, i.e. its output more losely matched the output of the real simulation model. No apparent improvement in optimization performance could be observed however. It was speculated that this was due to either the optimization algorithm used not taking advantage of the improved accuracy of the surrogate model, or the fact the the improved accuracy of the surrogate model was to small to make any measurable impact.     Abstract [en]

    AB Furhoffs Rostfria is a company with its base in Skövde. They are specialists in the manufacturing of stainless-steel parts, such as plumbing products, floor wells and sinks. In addition to manufacturing their own products, the company also has a subcontract to manufacture other companies’ products.

    The department where this bachelor thesis will be conducted has a subcontract to manufacturing radar cones and treats only the production of the most frequent manufactured radar cones. The department consists of seven manufacturing steps and three additional steps for one of the details.

    The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to create a simulation model that shows how potential improvement proposals would meet the expected increase of the order intake of the radar cones by streamlining the current production flow. In order to achieve this, a simulation model has been created in which the improvement proposals have been implemented. The improvement proposals that have been tested are based on the data that has been collected through production engineering methods.

    The frame of references describes the theory that constitutes the foundation for the chosen methods. In addition, areas within discrete event simulation, lean production and improvement work have been studied from other works in the literature review. These areas can in some way relate to the work and conclusions of this project.

    The empirical study was conducted by using observations according to genchi genbutsu, conversations and interviews with operators, spaghetti diagrams of the operators and the product flow as well as time studies according to the continuous method. These methods have formed the basis for both the creation of the simulation model, where the current situation is reflected, and for the development of the future state simulation model. The future state simulation model shows the implementation of the improvement proposals that increases efficiency and production volume throughout the system.

    The empirical study resulted in a visual overview of the production flow, standard times, the identification of waste as well as improvement proposals. When all the improvement proposals were implemented, the hourly production was increased by 26.6% and the lead time was reduced by 21.1%. With these improvements, the company can increase their production and profit significantly.

    Abstract [en]

    Purpose of the study was to investigate teachers' intentions with the use of tactile massage as educational emphasis in early childhood education, with the goal to identify and describe different conceptions as to the effects of using tactile massage in early childhood education from an educator's perspective.

    The study has a phenomenographic approach, an approach that implies that the researcher investigates people's perceptions and variations of a phenomenon. Data collection consisted of interviews with six teachers who used or use tactile massage in early childhood education.

    The result of the study shows that the teachers’ intentions to use tactile massage can be traced to the social, physical, psychological and cognitive effects. Effects that respondents perceive the use of tactile massage.   

    The conclusion reads as follows: that the use of tactile massage causes the teacher who chooses the method tactile massage facing an educational dilemma, which means that the teacher must choose between what is most important, a values perspective or a didactic perspective.

    The digitalization has led to a major change in consumer’s buying behaviour. In many businesses, for example retail, e-commerce has become very popular and it is about to influence heavily the convenience goods business too. Among Swedish consumers, it is common that they at least once, have experienced buying groceries online. But the total revenue share for online grocery sales indicates that it is not done in the same extent, compared to other businesses. Purchase of groceries occur often and repeated and is characterized by a habitual behaviour. There is still though more factors that affects how Swedish consumers purchase their groceries.

     

    The purpose of this study is to create understanding why Swedish consumers do not purchase groceries online in a larger extent. They have good experience of online purchasing in the retail business as well as they are familiar with buying groceries online. The study also aims to identify the influencing factors when a consumer chooses online purchasing for grocery shopping.

     

    The result of the study concludes why consumers choose to not purchase their groceries through e-commerce. It depends on consumers’ habitual behavior, but also their need of touch and feel the groceries before purchase. They are also not willing to pay the extra fees that comes with the service of purchasing groceries through e-commerce. The factors that affect a consumer choosing e-commerce for grocery shopping are convenience, availability and time saving.

     

    Suggestions to further research is to have a broader selection of respondents, with a wider range of age, from all over Sweden. This will enable to generalize and draw conclusions of a larger population.

    Bakgrund: Tidigare forskning har visat på att tidspress är ett utbrett problem i revisionsbranschen. Detta då revisorer under tidspress har visat sig tillämpa diverse oönskade handlingar som kan ha en negativ inverkan på dokumentationen och revisionskvaliteten. Det finns även forskning som visar på att personligheten kan ha en inverkan på hur revisorn hanterar tidspressen. Detta kan således tänkas innebära att även dokumentationen hanteras olika under tidspress beroende på revisorns personlighet. Problemformulering: Vilken inverkan har en revisors personlighet på dokumentationen av en revision under tidspress? Vilken inverkan har revisorns personliga hantering av dokumentationen under tidspress i sin tur på revisionskvaliteten? Syfte: Vårt syfte är att skapa förståelse för hur olika personlighetsdrag hanterar dokumentationen av en revision under tidspress för att få en bättre insikt i hur en revisors personlighet inverkar på revisionskvaliteten. Metod: För att uppnå studiens syfte har en kvalitativ metod använts. Datainsamlingen har bestått av åtta stycken semistrukturerade intervjuer. Intervjuerna har genomförts med revisorer från en och samma revisionsbyrå, men på olika kontor i Sverige. Urvalet av revisorerna var ett strategiskt urval då revisorerna är valda med omsorg för att passa in i studiens syfte. Resultat och slutsats: Studien visar på att revisorns personlighet kan ha en inverkan på dokumentationen under tidspress samt även för vilken revisionskvalitet som revisionen får. Personlighetsdraget utåtriktning inverkar under tidspress på dokumentationen, samt revisionskvaliteten, betydligt mer negativt än personlighetsdraget vänlighet. Vad det gäller personlighetsdraget noggrannhet är inverkan inte lika påtaglig negativ som för utåtriktning, men inte heller lika försiktig som för vänlighet. Dessa slutsatser är dock svåra att tillämpa då det finns tydliga indikationer på att det skiljer sig åt även inom personlighetsdragen. Vidare finns det även indikationer på att ytterligare faktorer också kan ha en inverkan, som exempelvis revisorns erfarenhet.

    Varje gång det sker ett dyk ska det skrivas en dyklogg som beskriver vad som gjorts och vad som setts. Dock brukar dessa loggar lagras fysiskt vilket leder till att datan försvinner med tiden. Man bör därför lagra loggarna i en databas för att bevara datan och förenkla interaktion. Ett problem med att lagra data i en databas är att datamängderna kan öka till stora mängder och databaserna då kan bli långsamma och nästintill oanvändbara. I studien utförs ett experiment som undersöker vilken databas som bör användas mellan MySQL och MongoDB och ger svar på hypotesen ”Genom att använda sig av MongoDB kan man få bättre svarstider än med MySQL, särskilt vid användning av större datamängder”. Detta undersöks genom att jämföra svarstiden mellan respektive databas och resultatet visar att MongoDB presterar bättre än MySQL vid hantering av dykloggar. I framtiden vore det intressant att använda fler databaser samt andra tekniker för att hantera datan.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this work is to investigate whether threaded Android-applications written in C or C++ are more time-efficient than threaded Android-applications written in Java.

    The first part of the work was to perform a literature analysis in order to find out which types of algorithms were used in previous studies comparing the performance between non-threaded Android-applications written in Java and C/C++. Another literature analysis was performed where the outcome was to find suitable threaded versions of algorithms that could be used to compare the difference in time-consumption between algorithms implemented in Java and C/C++.

    Results have shown that for simple arithmetic operations and sorting functions, it is still possible to gain performance in terms of time-efficiency by implementing applications in C/C++. However, there are clear indications that these gains are smaller than they are in the non-threaded case. In algorithms dealing with string operations, the Java-version was significantly more time-efficient than the C++-version

    Abstract [en]

    The Wheel Hub of a rallycross car is analysed to reduce the unsprung mass of the car. The problem statement is to mainly focus on the unsprung mass related to the suspension, and more specifically on the Wheel Hub. One of the objectives of the suspension system of a car is to damping the movement of the car. This is an important area when designing a vehicle, and especially a race car due to the extreme conditions that may result in reduced traction and loose of confidence for the driver. A theoretical model is performed to demonstrate the importance of a low unsprung mass and to illustrate how it affects the vehicle-handling. A process to evaluate the current Wheel Hub and decision to re-design the Wheel Hub is performed, and the parts are analysed using the Finite Element Method to verify the design and material selection. Vehicle dynamics of the car is analysed to calculate the acting forces. Optimization of the design is performed by using Computer Aided Engineering. The re-designed Wheel Hub presented as the result of this project with a Brake Disk Adapter integrated in Hub. This design reduces the number of parts, and the unsprung mass up to 25% without any effects on suspension geometry or other parts of the car.

    The focus of this thesis was to use serious games as a tool to teach about obligation to give notice. Obligation to give notice means that certain professionals need to report to social services if a child is being harmed. This thesis studied if case-based storytelling could bring a relevant teaching experience, if storytelling could help participants learn about obligation to give notice and how instant and delayed feedback affect the learning. Participants played a story-based game with either instant or delayed feedback and answered three questionnaires about obligation to give notice. The study found that participants did find that the storytelling was useful for learning and gaining more knowledge about about obligation to give notice. For the feedback it was found that both types of feedback made the participants learn significantly more but there was no significant difference when comparing the feedbacks to each other.

    Abstract [en]

    During the spring of 2013, Emilia Andersson, a student in product design engineering at University of Skövde, carried out a product development project in cooperation with HAGS Aneby AB. The aim of the project was to develop a seesaw adapted for children aged 1-3 years. The goal was to develop a seesaw that could be sold worldwide and meet the American standard and European standard for playground equipment.

    The project began with a pre study and a theory phase, which included literature review and competitor analysis and information were gathered to gain a deeper knowledge of the subject. Later on ideas and concepts were generated, which then through evaluations as user testing lead to a final concept. The concept was evaluated with for example strength calculations and an anthropometric analysis.

    The final seesaw can, despite adjustment for the age group, not only be use by 1-3-year-olds, but also by older children, this thanks to the design and the handles that provide extra play values.

    Background: People tend to identify themselves with different social groups based on, for instance, professional or organizational affiliation. Individuals who identify themselves with the same social group often create similar norms and values, which create a sense of belonging. In a professional organization professional co-workers tend to identify themselves with their profession rather than their organization, which in turn affects the relationship between the individual and the organization. In recent years the concept of co-workership has become increasingly popular in the Swedish labor market. The concept of co-workership includes how employees handle the relationship with their employer and to their own work. Depending on the extent to which employees identify themselves with their profession and their organization these relationships are affected.

    Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe how professional identification influences the co-workership in professional organizations.

    Method: To give a descriptive picture of the chosen area the study is based on a qualitative approach. In order to describe how professional identification influences the co-workership in professional organizations two case studies has been conducted, both organizations are to be found in the health care field. The study is based on qualitative interviews with respondents belonging to a chosen profession.

    Results and conclusion: The present study has revealed that professional co-workers in a professional organization tend to identify themselves with their profession rather than their organization. Since co-workership is based on relationships both with employers and to the co-workers own work the professional identification therefor has an influence on the co-workership. The present study further revealed that trust occurs more widely within the own profession. It has also been found that fellowship and collaboration primarily occurs within the own profession. The study has shown that professionals tend to experience a stronger commitment to their work than to their organization, they also tend to take more responsibility for their own work than for the whole organization.

    Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur könsfördelningen ser ut på tre revisionsbyråer i Jönköping. Intresset för undersökningen väcktes genom ett seminarie där en liknande undersökning hade gjorts i England för ett antal år sedan. Vi blev då nyfikna på att se hur situationen såg ut i Jönköping. Vi undersökte om det var en jämn könsfördelning på de tre olika byråerna, samt hur många män respektive kvinnor det fanns på de olika befattningarna, dvs. assistent, godkänd, auktoriserad och delägare. Vi ville dessutom undersöka hur de anställda upplever sina möjligheter till att göra karriär inom branschen. Har män och kvinnor olika syn på sina möjligheter till att göra karriär?

    Undersökningen genomfördes genom personliga intervjuer och resultatet visar att det är en jämn könsfördelning på byråerna, men att andelen kvinnor på högre befattningar är avsevärt mindre än andelen män. Undersökningen visar även att det inte finns någon skillnad mellan könen när det gäller hur de upplever möjligheten till att göra karriär.

    Abstract [en]

    Collaborative robots are a new technology that offers flexibility and precision for manual tasks that previously have been difficult to automate. Volvo Group Trucks Operations engine plant in Skövde is a pilot plant where new technical solutions are tested before it is implemented in the rest of the company. The company sees that collaborative robots can provide benefits for the operator’s ergonomics and improved process and product quality in the final assembly of 13L truck engines. The purpose of the project is to investigate the possibilities of collaborative robots in the final assembly as well as to give a deeper understanding of the robot's field of application. The project has been defined to Universal Robots, preparation, preassembly and final assembly for 13L truck engines. The objectives are to develop distinctive features for a coactive implementation, to develop a basic analysis and to co-locate possible tasks into a coactive station and if co-location is not possible provide recommendations on minimal features that should be included in the collaborative robot.

    To achieve the goals, a systematic method has been prepared to ensure that the project addresses to the problem and the objectives. Knowledge has been gathered through literature studies and reference frameworks to form the basis for the practical work. All operations in areas 1-4 on the production line have been identified and analyzed to find coactive features, which has been the basis for developing a basic analysis. Several of the features that have been identified from the production line are consistent with what a Universal Robot can perform. That these features match, shows that a collaborative robot is possible to implement in the final assembly. The basic analysis has then been used to co-locate two coactive stations in the production line.

    The basic analysis could be used as a basis for the company in the implementation of collaborative robots. As technology of collaborative robots develops, the features and basic analysis needs to be updated.
