    I detta arbete behandlas frågor som berör förändringsarbete. Alla verksamheter och organisationer arbetar kontinuerligt med att förbättra och effektivisera den egna verksamheten. Genom att arbete med förändringar på ett strukturerat sätt kan företag och organsiationer öka sannolikheten när det gäller att arbeta fram rätt lösningar och förändringsförslag till den utvecklade verksamheten.

    I mitt arbete har jag undersökt hur verksamhetsutvecklare genomför förändringar. Jag har, genom intervjuer, tagit reda på vilka metoder som används och hur dessa metoder är uppbyggda. Genom att studera de metoder som angivits har jag kommit fram till att metoderna, i stora drag, innehåller liknade arbetssteg. Metoderna inleds med en processkartläggning, denna processkartläggning används som underlag till nästa arbetssteg där verksamhetens problem identifieras. Arbetet avslutas med att lösningar till problemen arbetas fram och prövas.

    Det finns ett antal kriterier och riktlinjer som kan vara viktiga att ha i åtanke när förändringsarbete genomförs. Jag har med hjälp av intervjumaterialet sammanställt ett antal punkter som alla kan hjälpa till när det gäller att öka sannolikheten till att rätt förändringar identifieras. Några utav de kriterier som jag arbetat fram är till exempel att ha en hög grad av användarmedverkan i projektgrupperna, att utnyttja användarnas kunskap och kompetens samt att skapa en gemensam målformulering hos de medverkande.

    I detta arbete undersöks det vilken av två animationsmetoder, handanimation eller motion capture som främst skapar animation som upplevs av åskådaren som naturlig i sitt rörelsemönster. För att besvara denna fråga har en litteraturstudie genomförts som främst fokuserar på området kroppsspråk. Tre typer av animationer har skapats dels med hjälp av motion capture-teknik och dels med handanimation. Sedan utvärderas de olika animationsklippen genom en kvalitativ undersökning där det visade sig att de animationer som skapats med hjälp av motion capture-teknik upplevdes som naturligast i sitt rörelsemönster.

    Sedan 1800-talet har Sverige haft en pågående urbaniseringsprocess. Detta har resulterat i en konkurrens mellan arters livsmiljöer och människans behov av mark. Denna konkurrens leder till att arters livsmiljöer fragmenteras i och utanför tätorter. Skog i tätorten är särskilt utsatt, då den skövlas när nya marker ska exploateras och ofta saknar legitimt skydd. Skogen har stor betydelse för den biologiska mångfalden, människans hälsa och rekreationsmöjligheter. Gröna korridorer inom stadsplanering har blivit ett sätt att skapa konnektivitet mellan de fragmenterade livsmiljöerna och på så sätt öka och bibehålla den biologiska mångfalden. Mariestads kommun vill undersöka hur de kan utforma gröna korridorer för att förbättra konnektiviteten i tätorten. Detta undersöktes genom att använda två hypotetiska arters spridningsförmåga tillsammans med grafteori och ett nätverksmått. Resultatet visade att barrblandskog och lövskog är fragmenterade på olika sätt och att arter som är beroende av dessa habitat har olika behov för att förbättra sin spridningsförmåga. Studien kan inte användas som underlag vid stadsplanering, men den kan förhoppningsvis öka förståelsen kring hur viktig konnektivitet är i fragmenterade habitat i tätorten.

    Arbetet redogör för konsekvensers inverkan på spelares agerande i moraliska dilemman i dataspel. Arbetet försöker även underlätta framtida debatt inom området genom att definiera begreppen svart-vita dilemman, grå dilemman, moraliska konsekvenser och praktiska konsekvenser. Tidigare statistik visar att ungefär 15 % av spelare agerar omoraliskt i spel som inte ger några incentiv till att göra så, arbetet testar hypotesen att andelen spelare som agerar omoraliskt ökar om spelet uppmuntrar omoraliskt beteende. Arbetet lät åtta testpersoner spela ett spel där de ställdes inför åtta svart-vita dilemman, undertiden samlades data in om deras agerande i spelet. Resultatet visade att testpersonerna agerade omoraliskt 17 % av gångerna, alltså ingen signifikant ökning från 15 %. Slutsatsen blev att ungefär 15 % av alla spelare agerar omoraliskt i moraliska dilemman och att den siffran är svår att förändra, även när omoraliskt beteende uppmuntras genom praktiska konsekvenser. Slutligen diskuteras svagheter med arbetet och potentiell framtida forskning, inklusive liknande arbeten med större fokus på skillnaderna mellan könens agerande i moraliska dilemman.

    En realtidsbaserad kollaborativ webbapplikation kategoriseras som en molntjänst och en molntjänst består utav en webbapplikation och en eller flera databaser. MongoDB som används i projektet är en icke-relationsdatabas. För att uppnå realtid används verktyget HTML5 WebSockets. Problemet är att hur ska den realtidsbaserade kollaborativa webbapplikationen byggas upp för att kunna uppdatera datan så snabbt som möjligt vid förändring. Databaserna som testas mot varandra är MySQL mot MongoDB och för att testa databaserna byggs en realtidsbaserad kollaborativ webbapplikation för modellering av UML-diagram. För att testa hypotesen utförs ett experiment och experimentet påvisade att hypotesen stämde delvis. MongoDB är snabbar på att uppdatera ett specifikt objekt jämfört med MySQL i tre av fyra testfall och för att hämta all data presterar databaserna nästan identiskt i alla testfallen. För fortsatt arbete är de intressant att testa en större datamängd och se hur det påverkar hämtningstiden när all data hämtas från databaserna.

    Robot Navigation using the Connectionist Navigational Map1997Report (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    The `grounding problem' poses the question of how the function and internal mechanisms of a machine, natural or artificial, can be intrinsic to the machine itself, i.e. independent of an external designer or observer. Searle's and Harnad's analyses of the grounding problem are briefly reviewed as well as different approaches to solving it, based on the cognitivist and the enactive paradigms in cognitive science. It is argued that, although the two categories of grounding approaches differ in their nature and the problems they have to face, both, so far, fail to provide fully grounded systems for similar reasons: Only isolated parts of systems are grounded, whereas other, essential, parts are left ungrounded. Hence, it is further argued that grounding should instead be understood and approached as radical bottom-up development of complete robotic agents in interaction with their environment.

    Eftersom så många organisationer och företag använder sig av data warehouses idag kan inte innehavet av data warehouses räknas som ett strategiskt övertag, utan en strategisk nödvändighet för företagen eller organisationerna. Att införa ett data warehouse kräver dock stort engagemang från alla inblandade i projektet och ett misslyckande kostar företaget mycket resurser och kapital.

    Detta arbete undersöker vilka faktorer som främst bidrar till att ett data warehousingprojekt misslyckas. En litteraturstudie genomförs där misslyckade fall samt litteratur som beskriver författares generella uppfattningar angående faktorer med potentiell risk att orsaka ett misslyckat data warehousingprojekt undersöks. Undersökningen leder fram till en lista med faktorer som anses ha stor potential att orsaka ett misslyckande. Att identifera dessa faktorer bidrar till att organisationer och företag får möjligheten att i ett tidigt skede av projektet förhindra att dessa uppstår, vilket kan spara stora ekonomiska resurser.

    Abstract [en]

    When the large-scale and nitrogen-intensive agriculture gained land many naturalpastures and meadows started to overgrow. This led to that many species dependent onopen land decreased or totally disappeared. To grow or re-colonize land many speciesneed some form of disturbance. Burning can be one of such disturbances. Burningincrease the light inlet and decrease the amount of nitrogen in the soil. Both of thesechanges will favor the open-land species.The aim of this study was to explore if burning could be a complement or alternative tograzing and mowing for preserving the biological diversity among plants in grasslands.The different kinds of grasslands that were inventoried include hard shoulders, meadows,field slopes and natural pastures. Both burned and control areas were inventoried at 11places. All of them were located in different habitats in Östergötland, Sweden.Three different diversity-indexes have been used to answer the question if diversity washigher on the burned areas than on the control surface. The result showed that both thediversity was higher and the distribution in species spread more evenly on the burnedareas. Species dependent on open land had a notably larger spreading on the burned areasthan on the control areas. This confirms the hypothesis that burning has a positive effecton open-land species and can be a complement or replacement for grazing or mowing inpreserving the biological diversity of plants in grasslands. The future care could bedifferent combinations of burning, grazing and mowing.To the conservation, this knowledge can have a great impact for both state and privatelandowners. Knowing that this method will favor the open-land species, more areas canbe burned. To burn, instead of mowing or grazing, can lead to that larger areas can havethe proper maintenance it requires, without changes in the financial budget of thelandowner.

    Fenomenet oskärpa existerar i verkligenheten och i spel, i olika former för olika syften. Olika tekniker har utvecklats för att skapa oskärpa av varierande effekt och till varierande ändamål i spelvärlden. Ett av dessa ändamål är när ett föremål är i rörelse, vilket brukar benämnas rörelseoskärpa.

    För att skapa rörelseoskärpa finns det en mängd olika tekniker som går att dela in i två huvudgrupper; geometribaserad- och pixelbaserad rörelseoskärpa, beroende på vilken data oskärpan förändrar. För detta arbete valdes en teknik från varje grupp ut. Syftet var att jämföra teknikernas prestandapåverkan på två olika statiska miljöer, nämligen skog och stad. En undersökning gjordes genom att en kamera utförde en automatiserad rörelse från punkt A till punkt B. Först gjordes detta utan någon rörelseoskärpa på båda miljöerna vilket skapade basfallet. Sedan kopplades rörelseoskärpatekniken på och kameran gjorde samma rörelse 30 gånger med varje teknik och per miljö. Syftet var att utvärdera vilken av rörelseoskärpateknikerna som kom närmast basfallets prestanda samt att undersöka vilken av teknikerna som var minst prestandakrävande.

    Tekniken som visade sig komma närmast basfallen var pixeltekniken i båda miljöerna. Det visade sig dock att geometritekniken kunde konkurrera till viss del i skogsmiljön. Pixeltekniken var dock dominerande i de flesta mätvärdena och dominerade helt en av de utvalda miljöerna, staden.

    Improved Combat Tactics of AI Agents in Real-Time Strategy Games Using Qualitative Spatial Reasoning2005Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor)Student thesis
    Abstract [en]

    Real-time strategy (RTS) games constitute one of the largest game genres today and have done so for the past decade. A central feature of real-time strategy games is opponent AI which is suggestively the “last frontier” of game development because the focus of research has primarily been on other components, graphics in particular. This has led to AI research being largely ignored within the commercial game industry but several methods have recently been suggested for improving the strategic ability of AI agents in real-time strategy games.

    The aim of this project is to evaluate how a method called qualitative spatial reasoning can improve AI on a tactical level in a selected RTS game. An implementation of an AI agent that uses qualitative spatial reasoning has been obtained and an evaluation of its performance in an RTS game example monitored and analysed.

    The study has shown that qualitative spatial reasoning affects AI agent’s behaviour significantly and indicates that it can be used to deduce a rule-base that increases the unpredictability and performance of the agent.

    EVOLUTIONARY AI IN BOARD GAMES: An evaluation of the performance of an evolutionary algorithm in two perfect information board games with low branching factor2015Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 15 credits / 22,5 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    It is well known that the branching factor of a computer based board game has an effect on how long a searching AI algorithm takes to search through the game tree of the game. Something that is not as known is that the branching factor may have an additional effect for certain types of AI algorithms.

    The aim of this work is to evaluate if the win rate of an evolutionary AI algorithm is affected by the branching factor of the board game it is applied to. To do that, an experiment is performed where an evolutionary algorithm known as “Genetic Minimax” is evaluated for the two low branching factor board games Othello and Gomoku (Gomoku is also known as 5 in a row). The performance here is defined as how many times the algorithm manages to win against another algorithm.

    The results from this experiment showed both some promising data, and some data which could not be as easily interpreted. For the game Othello the hypothesis about this particular evolutionary algorithm appears to be valid, while for the game Gomoku the results were somewhat inconclusive. For the game Othello the performance of the genetic minimax algorithm was comparable to the alpha-beta algorithm it played against up to and including depth 4 in the game tree. After that however, the performance started to decline more and more the deeper the algorithms searched. The branching factor of the game may be an indirect cause of this behaviour, due to the fact that as the depth increases, the search space increases proportionally to the branching factor. This increase in the search space due to the increased depth, in combination with the settings used by the genetic minimax algorithm, may have been the cause of the performance decline after that point.

    Configuring services in an ad-hoc way is less than optimal as human error can result in services that fail. Even though scripting offers a solution it does not allow for a uniform deployment of configurations. A possible solution to this problem is the use of software configuration management systems (SCMS) that allow administrators to specify what should be done, and not necessarily how. An implementation is conducted that focuses on the first part of implementing an SCMS to see if a transition to a SCMS governed environment can be worthwhile. Three SCMS will be investigated; Chef, CFEngine and Puppet. The results show that administrators can receive good support from the documentation as documentation of the three SCMS are mostly accurate. The support from the community is affected by region and activity is declining in some cases. Overall it is easy to install an SCMS and special purpose languages are effective for specifying functionality of services.

    Abstract [en]

    With social media rising in popularity over the recent years, new so called social bots are infiltrating by spamming and manipulating people all over the world. Many different methods have been presented to solve this problem with varying success. This study aims to compare some of these methods, on a dataset of Twitter account metadata, to provide helpful information to companies when deciding how to solve this problem. Two machine learning algorithms and a human survey will be compared on the ability to classify accounts. The algorithms used are the supervised algorithm random forest and the unsupervised algorithm k-means. There will also be an evaluation of two ways to run these algorithms, using the machine learning as a service BigML and the python library Scikit-learn. Additionally, what metadata features are most valuable in the supervised and human survey will be compared. Results show that supervised machine learning is the superior technique for social bot identification with an accuracy of almost 99%. To conclude, it depends on the expertise of the company and if a relevant training dataset is available but in most cases supervised machine learning is recommended.

Den har också syftat till att undersöka huruvida bilder påverkar hur människor identifierar och bedömer ljud. Efter en litteraturstudie samt en hypotestestande undersökning på området har jag sett tendenser som tyder på att det går att träna sin hörsel i denna typ av lyssning. Jag har också sett indikationer på att bilder kan påverka hur vi identifierar ljud.

    Abstract [en]

    The task of navigating and orienting oneself in an unknown environment might seem arbitrary to most people. For a person with a visual impairment however, it can prove to be a challenge. Much research has been conducted to provide useful software solutions to aid this problem. Nevertheless, not enough research has been put into studying the use of our everyday sounds for such software. The present thesis is aimed at evaluating the usefulness of utilising diegetic spatial audio. After a real environment was replicated in a virtual audio environment without visual input, 16 sound students from the University of Skövde were asked to perform the same set of tasks in the virtual and the real environment. The results indicated that diegetic spatial audio is an important part of navigating without vision and that the experiment would be interesting to perform on a larger scale with visually impaired participants.

    A lot of video games on the market are inaccessible to players with visual impairments because they rely heavily on use of graphical elements. This paper presents a project aimed at developing a point-and-click adventure game for smart phones and tablets that is equally functional and enjoyable by blind and sighted players. This will be achieved by utilizing audio to give blind players all necessary information and enjoyment without graphics. In addition to creating the game, the aim of the project is to identify design aspects that can be applied to more types of games to include more players. This paper also presents a pilot study that has been conducted on an early version of the game and the preliminary findings are discussed.

    Celiac disease is a common autoimmune disorder characterized by an intestinal inflammation triggered by gluten, a storage protein found in wheat, rye and barley. Similar to other autoimmune diseases such as type 1 diabetes, psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease is the result of an immune response to self-antigens leading to tissue destruction and production of autoantibodies. Common diseases like celiac disease have a complex pattern of inheritance with inputs from both environmental as well as additive and non-additive genetic factors. In the past few years, Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) have been successful in finding genetic risk variants behind many common diseases and traits. To complement and add to the previous findings, we performed a GWAS including 206 trios from 97 nuclear Swedish and Norwegian families affected with celiac disease. By stratifying for HLA-DQ, we identified a new genome-wide significant risk locus covering the DUSP10 gene. To further investigate the associations from the GWAS we performed pathway analyses and two-locus interaction analyses. These analyses showed an over-representation of genes involved in type 2 diabetes and identified a set of candidate mechanisms and genes of which some were selected for mRNA expression analysis using small intestinal biopsies from 98 patients. Several genes were expressed differently in the small intestinal mucosa from patients with celiac autoimmunity compared to intestinal mucosa from control patients. From top-scoring regions we identified susceptibility genes in several categories: 1) polarity and epithelial cell functionality; 2) intestinal smooth muscle; 3) growth and energy homeostasis, including proline and glutamine metabolism; and finally 4) innate and adaptive immune system. These genes and pathways, including specific functions of DUSP10, together reveal a new potential biological mechanism that could influence the genesis of celiac disease, and possibly also other chronic disorders with an inflammatory component.

    System integration, interoperability, just in time delivery, window of opportunity, and dust-to-dust optimization are all keywords of our computerized future. Survivability is an important concept that together with dependability and quality of service are key issues in the systems of the future, i.e. infrastructural systems, business applications, and everyday desktop applications. The importance of dependable systems and the widely spread usage of dependable system together with the complexity of those systems makes middleware and frameworks for survivability imperative to the system builder of the future. This thesis presents a simulation approach to investigate the effect on data survival when the defending system uses knowledge of the current situation to protect the data. The results show the importance of situation awareness to avoid wasting recourses. A number of characteristics of the situational information provided and how this information may be used to optimize the system.

    Background: The continued high recurrence and mortality rate in ovarian cancer is a significant problem and the major obstacle in the treatment of ovarian cancer patients is chemotherapy resistance. Thus, finding predictive markers of chemoresistance and elucidating resistance mechanisms is crucial for individualising treatment and improving survival of ovarian cancer patients. Materials and Methods: Using array comparative genomic hybridisation (CGH), this pilot study analysed the tumour genomes of patients treated with docetaxel/carboplatin as first-line chemotherapy (6 resistant versus 24 sensitive cases). This is the first array CGH study of  such  material.  Results:  The  study  identified  genetic alterations specific to chemoresistant (gains in 9p13.2-13.1, 9q21.2-21.32,  9q21.33,  9q22.2-22.31,  9q22.32-22.33  and 9q33.1-34.11) and chemosensitive (losses in 8p23.3-23.1 and 8p22) disease. Additionally, when comparing the results to previously analysed tumour material from patients treated with paclitaxel/carboplatin, the two datasets identified different genetic  alteration  profiles.  Conclusion:  Specific  genetic alterations were identified and associated with chemotherapy response in ovarian cancer. It will be interesting to investigate these exciting data further in larger independent series of ovarian   tumours,   and   hopefully   will   contribute   to   the establishment of predictive markers.

    Abstract [en]

    Background Chemotherapy resistance remains a major obstacle in the treatment of women with ovarian cancer. Establishing predictive markers of chemoresponse would help to individualize therapy and improve survival of ovarian cancer patients. Chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer has been studied thoroughly and several non-overlapping single genes, gene profiles and copy number alterations have been suggested as potential markers. The objective of this study was to explore genetic alterations behind chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer with the ultimate aim to find potential predictive markers.

    Methods To create the best opportunities for identifying genetic alterations of importance for resistance, we selected a homogenous tumor material concerning histology, stage and chemotherapy. Using high-resolution whole genome array comparative genomic hybridization (CGH), we analyzed the tumor genomes of 40 fresh-frozen stage III ovarian serous carcinomas, all uniformly treated with combination therapy paclitaxel/carboplatin. Fisher's exact test was used to identify significant differences. Subsequently, we examined four genes in the significant regions (EVI1, MDS1, SH3GL2, SH3KBP1) plus the ABCB1 gene with quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (QPCR) to evaluate the impact of DNA alterations on the transcriptional level.

    Results We identified gain in 3q26.2, and losses in 6q11.2-12, 9p22.3, 9p22.2-22.1, 9p22.1-21.3, Xp22.2-22.12, Xp22.11-11.3, and Xp11.23-11.1 to be significantly associated with chemotherapy resistance. In the gene expression analysis, EVI1 expression differed between samples with gain versus without gain, exhibiting higher expression in the gain group.

    Conclusion In conclusion, we detected specific genetic alterations associated with resistance, of which some might be potential predictive markers of chemotherapy resistance in advanced ovarian serous carcinomas. Thus, further studies are required to validate these findings in an independent ovarian tumor series.

    Idag finns det många olika systemutvecklingsmetoder och dess strategiska fokus skiljer sig från metod till metod. Vissa metoder använder sig av en mer användarledd strategi till exempel JAD, där användarna får vara med och driva utvecklandet av systemet och få det anpassat efter deras behov. Andra metoder använder en expertdominerad strategi till exempel SSADM, där experterna utvecklar systemet, där experterna utreder vad systemet bör innefatta. Eftersom metodernas strategi och fokus skiljer sig, skiljer de sig även åt när det gäller arbetsprocessen gentemot organisationen. Ett sätt att arbeta gentemot organisationen är att använda sig av en facilitator.

    En facilitator är en medlare, assistent som är neutral. Facilitatorn skall stödja gruppen, processen och uppgiften. Denne skall även kunna fungera som en gruppmodelleringsledare.

    Denna rapport avser att granska hur en facilitator påverkar en systemutvecklingsmetod, i detta fallet SSADM. Hur facilitatorn påverkar metoden beror väldigt mycket på vem som väljs ut att vara facilitator. Om facilitatorn är kompetent kommer han/hon ha en positiv inverkan på metoden. Om han/hon inte är tillräckligt kompetent kommer det bli en negativ inverkan.

    A lot of factors inside and outside the organisation forces the organisation and the indiviudals working in the organisation to change. The aim of this work is to get an understanding of the relationship between change, maintenance and information. To reach that aim the objectives are to examine what kind of external and internal factors there are that causes change in user demands and to see how these new demands can be handled inside the organisation. It becomes harder and harder to adapt to changes due to the fast acceleration of change, therefore it is important to become aware of what kind of factors result in new user demands and needs. Nine change factors on the organisational level were identified based on a literature study. An analysis of the differences between the organisation and the indiviudal (organism) level established a gorund for identifying factors on the level of the individual.

    Vid nya systeminvesteringar blir det idag allt vanligare att standardsystem väljs framför egenutveckling av ett skräddarsytt system. Införande av ett standardsystem påverkar verksamheten i lika hög grad som införande av ett egenutvecklat system gör. Det är viktigt att upphandlingsprocessen planeras och genomförs väl.

    I takt med att standardsystemen har utvecklats så har även forskningen på området ökat. Detta har resulterat i att ett antal modeller för upphandling av standardsystem har växt fram, dels för att underlätta arbetet med att inhandla ett standardsystem, dessutom kan en modell stärka kundens förhållande till leverantören.

    Arbetets främsta mål är att undersöka hur arbetsprocessen för upphandling av standardsystem går till idag. Vad anser företag är viktigt att behandla under upphandlingsprocessen, vilka likheter finns mellan företagen och vad skiljer sig åt. I rapporten beskrivs 6 olika upphandlingssituationer. Jag har valt att intervjua företag som inte har använt sig av en modell i upphandlingsprocessen. Detta för att en jämförelse skall kunna genomföras. En jämförelse av företagens upphandlingsprocess med den process som användandet av en modell skulle ge. Den modell som jag har valt att jämföra företagens upphandlingsprocess med är Standardsystem i Verksamheten (SIV-modellen).

    Med min undersökning som grund anser jag att företag inte nödvändigtvis behöver arbeta med en standardiserad modell vid upphandling av standardsystem. Det viktiga är att arbeta strukturerat och metodiskt och planera upphandlingsprocessen väl. Detta anser jag att i stort sett alla de intervjuade företagen har gjort.

    Rapporten tar därutöver även upp standardsystem i allmänhet. Vad är ett standardsystem, vilka för- och nackdelar finns det med ett inköp av ett standardsystem. Slutligen kommenterar jag vilka erfarenheter och slutsatser som kan dras utav mitt arbete.

    The aim of the project was to identify biologically relevant novel gene clusters by using combined genomic data instead of using only gene expression data in isolation. The clustering algorithm based on self-organizing maps (Kasturi et al., 2005) was extended and implemented in order to use gene location data together with the gene expression and the motif occurrence data for gene clustering. A distance function was defined to be used with gene location data. The algorithm was also extended in order to use vector angle distance for gene expression data. Arabidopsis thaliana is chosen as a data source to evaluate the developed algorithm. A test data set was created by using 100 Arabidopsis genes that have gene expression data with seven different time points during cold stress condition, motif occurrence data which indicates the occurrence frequency of 614 different motifs and the chromosomal location data of each gene. Gene Ontology (http://www.geneontology.org) and TAIR (http://arabidopsis.org) databases were used to find the molecular function and biological process information of each gene in order to examine the biological accuracy of newly discovered clusters after using combined genomic data. The biological evaluation of the results showed that using combined genomic data to cluster genes resulted in new biologically relevant clusters.
