Abstract [sv]

Rapporten behandlar ett examensarbete inom integrerad produktutveckling vid Högskolan i Skövde. Projektet är gjort i samarbete med butiksinredningsföretaget Expedit retail solutions i Jönköping. Projektets syfte är att utveckla framtidens Gamezone, en enhet där kunder kan testa TV-spel i en butik med fokus på spelupplevelsen.

Projektet inleddes med en förstudie innehållande marknadsundersökning, befintliga produkter och andra lösningar, ny teknik, ergonomiska aspekter samt framtiden för TV-spelandet. Därefter startade idégenereringsprocessen. För att få fram en stor variation av förslag användes flera olika kreativa metoder. Urvalet av idéerna skedde i samråd med Expedit samt med hjälp av olika designmetoder för utvärdering.

Det slutgiltiga konceptet modellerades upp i ProEngineer och renderades i Autodesk Autostudio. Även en fysisk modell av konceptet byggdes i skala 1:7,5.

Resultatet är ett koncept som kan visas upp för Expedits kunder. Vidare design samt specifikationer för byggande kommer att ske efter att konceptet är sålt till kund

Abstract [en]

This report covers a Bachelor Degree Project in Product Design Engineering at the University of Skövde. The project has been done together with Expedit retail solutions in Jönköping. The objective of the project is to develop the Gamezone of the future, a unit where customers can test TV-games in a store with focus on the gaming experience.

The project started with a pre-study including market research, existing products and other solutions, new technology, ergonomics and the future of TV-gaming. Thereafter the idea generating process took place. In order to generate a wide range of ideas several different creativity methods were used. The selections of the ideas were made together with Expedit and with the help of different design methods for evaluation.

The final concept was modelled in ProEngineer and rendered in Autodesk Autostudio. A physical model in scale 1:7,5 was also built.

The result is made to be a concept ready to be shown for the clients of Expedit. Further design along with specifications for the build will take place after the concept has been sold to a client.
