Introduktion: Kvinnor med funktionsvariationer har förhöjd risk att utsättas för våld i nära relation jämfört med kvinnor i allmänhet. Bland kvinnor med funktionsvariationer i vuxen ålder var utsattheten för fysiskt våld högre (26 procent) jämfört med övrig befolkning (17 procent). Våldet som kvinnor med funktionsvariationer utsätts för är ofta grovt. Hälsooch sjukvården har ett ansvar att våldsscreena kvinnor som söker sjukvård. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att sammanställa kvinnor med funktionsvariationers erfarenheter av hälso- och sjukvårdens bemötande vid utsatthet av våld i nära relation. Metod: En litteraturstudie som baserades på 10 originalartiklar hämtade från databaserna PubMed, Web of Science och CINAHL. Artiklarna analyserades med tematisk analys. Resultat: Den tematiska analysen resulterade i fyra teman (organisatoriska faktorer, interprofessionell kompetens om funktionsvariationer, anpassade resurser, empatisk kommunikation) samt elva underteman (bristfällig beredskap, få valmöjligheter, förseningar i hjälpen, kunskapsbrist om funktionsvariationer, bristande förståelse för behoven, bristfällig våldsscreening, anpassad miljö, lämpad information efter behov, tid att lyssna samt förståelse och respekt i kommunikationen) om kvinnor med funktionsvariationers erfarenheter av bemötande vid utsatthet av våld i nära relation. Slutsats: Litteraturstudiens resultat indikerar att kvaliteten på hälso- och sjukvårdens bemötande varierar enligt våldsutsatta kvinnor med funktionsvariationer. Den interprofessionella kompetensen om funktionsvariationer är i behov av utveckling för att våldsutsatta kvinnor med funktionsvariationer ska känna tillit till hälso- och sjukvården och våga berätta om sin våldsutsatthet.

Introduction: Women with disabilities have increased risk of experiencing intimate partner violence compared to women in general. Among women with disabilities in adult age, 26 percent are or have been victims to physical violence, compared to 17 percent in the rest of the population. Violence against women with disabilities is often more severe. Healthcare services have a responsibility to screen for violence among women who seeks medical care. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to compile information on how women with disabilities and exposed to intimate partner violence experience the medical healthcare when seeking help. Method: A literature review based on 10 original articles retrieved from the databases PubMed, Web of science and CINAHL. The articles were analyzed by using thematic analysis. Results: The thematic analysis resulted in four themes (organizational factors, interprofessional competence about disabilities, adapted resources and empathetic communication) and eleven subthemes (insufficient preparations, few available choices, help delays, lack of knowledge about disabilities, not understanding the women’s needs, inadequate violence screening, adapted environment, suitable information regarding the needs, time to listening and lastly communication with understanding and respect) about women with disabilities and their experience of the medical healthcare when exposed to intimate partner violence. Conclusion: Results of the literature study show that quality of medical healthcare varies regarding the treatment of women with disabilities and exposure to abuse. The interprofessional competence on disabilities needs development so that abused women with disabilities can trust the medical healthcare and seek help for their exposure to violence.
