Swimming is a popular and demanding sport that requires swimmers to balance power, speed, and technique. In order to identify areas for improvement, swimmers and coaches need clear and easily understandable visual representations of their swimming performance. With advances in data collection and analysis, it is now possible to analyse swimmers’ performance in greater detail, creating new opportunities for performance improvement through data-driven training. Visual analysis can be a powerful tool for achieving these goals, allowing swimmers to easily explore and identify the patterns and trends in their performance. The thesis project aims to analyse the performance of swimmers in a race and find the essential features of the swim. The goal is to rank good swimmers and compare a swimmer’sperformance to this benchmark and develop an understandable visualisation to evaluate their performance
