Bakgrund: Endometrios är en kronisk sjukdom som drabbar en av tio kvinnor i fertil ålder. Trots sjukdomens upptäckt redan på 1600 f.Kr. är kunskapen om sjukdomen låg hos såväl allmänhet som hos vårdpersonal. Vid endometrios är det vanligt att behöva söka vård akut vid skov i sjukdomen. Vid ett akutbesök kan stress påverka kommunikationen, vilket i sin tur kan påverka omvårdnaden.

Syfte: Att belysa upplevelsen av att lämna anamnes hos kvinnor med diagnostiserad endometrios vid ett akutbesök.

Metod: Studien gjordes som en kvalitativ intervjustudie med semistrukturerade frågor. Datan analyserades utifrån en innebördsanalys.

Resultat: Majoriteten av informanterna har upplevt ett dåligt bemötande vid ett akutbesök. De upplever sig misstrodda av vårdpersonalen och att deras symtom negligeras. Informanterna upplever även en känsla av utsatthet och en maktobalans mellan dem själva och vårdpersonalen. Trots allt finns ändå ljusglimtar och positiva möten beskrivna där informanterna upplevde att vårdpersonalen såg, trodde och lyssnade på dem.

Konklusion: Bemötandet från vårdpersonalen påverkar i stor grad kvinnans upplevelse då hon söker vård. Resultatet visar på att upplevelsen av att lämna anamnes och mötet med vården blir mer positivt om kvinnorna görs delaktig i sin vård. 

Background: Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects every 10th woman. Despite the discovery of the disease as early as 1600 BC. Knowledge of the disease is low among both the general public and health care professionals. Women with endometriosis are sometimes in need of emergency care due to relapse in their disease. At an emergency visit stress might effect the communication between the patient and the nurse, which in turn can effect the care of the patient.

Aim: To shed light on the experience women diagnosed with endometriosis have of providing anamnesis at an emergency visit.

Method: The study was conducted as a qualitative interview study with semi-stuctered questions. The collected data was analyzed as a content analysis.

Findings: The result shows that a majority of the informants have been poorly treated when they seek emergency healthcare. They have experience mistrust from the heathcare staff who neglect their symptoms, and a powerimbalance. After all the informants also describes glimps of light and positive meetings where they’ve felt that the healthcare staff have validated them and listened to them.

Conclusion: The way the healthcare professionals treat their patients greatly affect the informants experience when seeking healthcare. The results shows that the experience of giving anamnesis and the meeting with the health care will become more positiv if the patient is involved in their care.
