Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att undersöka hur processen kring en chefsrekrytering går till i bemanningsföretag, ur ett genusperspektiv, för både intern samt extern rekrytering av chefer. Detta görs med avseende att ta reda på hur kvinnor bedöms i en chefsrekryteringsprocess. I denna kandidatuppsats förekommer två bemanningsföretag som intervjuats med totalt sju respondenter. Respondenterna har befattningar som produktägare, personalansvarig, rekryterare, HR-ansvarig, enhetschef som sitter med i en del inom rekrytering, arbetsgivare inom outsourcing branschen samt rekryteringsspecialist. Organisationerna kommer att förbli anonyma och benämnas som organisation X och Y. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer som kompletterades med den genomgående teoretiska referensramen. Studiens resultat visar att de två studerade bemanningsföretagen X och Y arbetar aktivt med att ta in underrepresenterade grupper inom organisationen, speciellt när det kommer till rekrytering för medarbetare och för chefsroll. Detta gör bemanningsföretagen för att ha en balanserad könsfördelning ur ett jämställdhetsperspektiv. Förhoppningen är att resultatet av denna studie ska bidra med inspiration till organisationer som vill utveckla sin chefsrekryteringsprocess. Avslutningsvis kan studien bidra till en mer övergripande kunskap om vilka faktorer som är bakomliggande för den nuvarande könsfördelningen på arbetsmarknaden. Dessa faktorer kan beskrivas som förväntningar för könen som skapar särskilda föreställningar om könens egenskaper kopplade till ledarskap. 

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to investigate how the process of a manager recruitment takes place in staffing companies, from a gender perspective, for both internal and external recruitment of managers. This is done with regard to finding out how women are assessed in a manager recruitment process. In this bachelor thesis, there are two staffing companies that have been interviewed with a total of seven respondents. The respondents have positions such as product owner, personnel manager, recruiter, HR manager, unit manager who is involved in a part of recruitment, employers in the outsourcing industry and recruitment specialist. The organizations will remain anonymous and will be referred to as organization X and Y. The study was conducted using a qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interviews that were supplemented with the consistent theoretical frame of reference. The results of the study show that the two studied staffing companies X and Y work actively to bring in under-represented groups within the organization, especially when it comes to recruitment for employees and for managerial roles. This enables staffing companies to have a balanced gender distribution from a gender equality perspective. The hope is that the results of this study will provide inspiration to organizations that want to develop their managerial recruitment process. In conclusion, the study can contribute to a more comprehensive knowledge of the factors that underlie the current gender distribution in the labor market. These factors can be described as expectations for the sexes that create special perceptions ofthe sexes' characteristics linked to leadership.
