This brief paper reports on a research in progress where the actual use of a LMS through the process of web usage mining is studied. Web logs of student interacting with a LMS at a midsized university in Sweden are analyzed to discover use patterns (e.g. is there any user activity peaks corresponding to teacher or schedule activities such as the publishing of learning material or in the proximity of deadlines).
