Abstract [sv]

Det här arbetet har utförts vid Högskolan I Skövde i samarbete med Parker Hannifin AB. Parker har efterfrågat en förbättrad produktidentitet och användbarhet på sitt sortiment av snabbkopplingar. Arbetet har kretsas kring den förstudie som utfördes i tidigt skede av arbetet. Förstudien innefattar en litteraturstudie om produktidentitet och användbarhet, analys av Parkers varumärke samt användarstudier. Detta la grunden för en kravspecifikation som sedan blev utgångspunkten för konceptutvecklingen. Resultatet är ett konceptuellt förslag på en design som lyfter fram Parkers produktidentitet och ett formspråk som kommer att underlätta vid användning.

Abstract [en]

This project has taken place at the University Of Skövde in collobration with Parker Hanninfin AB. Parker has required an improved product identity and usability on their series of quick couplings. The project has been built on the prestudy that was made in an early stage of the project. The prestudy involves a literature study about product identity and usability, analysis of Parker as a brand and user studies. This was the basis for the project and a specification with demands were set on them. The specification was the starting point for the concept devolpment. The result is a conceptual suggestion on a design that brings Parkers product identity forward and highlights characteristics that eases the use of the product.
