Automatic snow remover for solar panels (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This thesis describes the process of producing a product with the purpose of removing snow fromroof mounted solar panels during winter. The product could potentially increase the effectivenessthroughout the year by changing the angle for which the solar panels are installed on the roof.By gathering relevant background information and the usage of methods within conceptgeneration, modelling and strength analysis, a product was designed and weighted against aspecification of demands made from assumptions and datasheets.A simple prototype was made in order to make sure that the product was feasible. The prototypeprovided a deeper insight into the functions of the system and potential improvementopportunities. All the goals initially set by the authors were fulfilled in the project. From the strength analysis itwas deemed that the components in the product would not exceed the limits to initiate plasticdeformation and was behaving elastically when the product raises the angle for the solar panels.
