Abstract [sv]
Bakgrund: Sexuella trakasserier är en bidragande faktor till psykisk ohälsa hos barn och ungdomar. Idag är sexuella trakasserier en del av elevers vardag och livsvärld.
Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva gymnasieelevers upplevelse av skolpersonalens hantering av sexuella trakasserier mellan elever.
Metod: Metoden för studien är kvalitativ med en fenomenologisk ansats. Skriftliga intervjuer genomfördes med femtio gymnasielever via social media plattformen Facebook, där eleverna svarade på en övergripande fråga utifrån syftet. Data analyserades med innebördsanalys.
Resultat: Gymnasieelevernas upplevelse sammanställdes i en essentiell innebörd och fem innebördsteman. Fysisk och psykologisk trygghet som essentiell innebörd och fem innebördsteman, otillräcklig hantering, god hantering, skolpersonalen är inte närvarande, ingen återkoppling och eleverna förväntas hantera situationen själva.
Konklusion: Gymnasieeleverna beskriver skolpersonalens hantering av sexuella trakasserier mellan elever som betydelsefull i förhållande till upplevelsen av trygghet.
Abstract [en]
Background: Sexual harassment is affecting children and adolescent’s mental health and sexual harassment is today a part of student’s everyday life and life world.
Aim: The purpose is to describe high school student’s experience of the school staff's handling of sexual harassment between students.
Method: The method of study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Interviews were conducted with fifty high school students on social media, Facebook, where the students answered a question based on the purpose. Data were analyzed using meaning analysis.
Result: The students' experience of school staff handling of sexual harassment between students was compiled in an essential meaning and five meaningful subjects. Physical and psychological security as an essential meaning and the five meaningful experiences. Insufficiently management, good management, school staffs are not present, no feedback and expectations to handle the situations by themselves.
Conclusion: Highschoolstudents describe how schoolstaff handling sexual harassment between students as an important factor in relation to the safetyexperience in the lifeworld.
