Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Omvårdnad och kommunikation var avgörande för sjuksköterskor i ett vårdmöte. Kommunikationen skulle vara tydligt vilket uppnås genom både verbal och ickeverbal kommunikation. Det gav sjuksköterskor en möjlighet att se patienterna som enhelhet. Att förstå patienternas upplevelser i vårdmötet på akutmottagningar var viktigt för sjuksköterskor, det för att främja ett personcentrerat vårdmöte. Genom att lyssna på patientens berättelse och vara empatisk kunde sjuksköterskor förstå patientens situation och behov bättre. Det kunde minska stress och oro hos patienten, vilket gav en bättre vårdupplevelse.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa patienters upplevelse av vårdmötet med sjuksköterskor på en akutmottagning.

Metod: Metoden var en kvalitativ litteraturstudie baserad på tio kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar ur ett patientperspektiv.

Resultat: I studiens resultat framkom det att patienterna kände brist på omvårdnad i vårdmötet med sjuksköterskor, vilket resulterade i känslor av ignorans och obetydlighet. För att öka patienternas välbefinnande betonades vikten av personcentrerad vård, där sjuksköterskor visade empati, engagemang och såg patienten som en helhet.

Konklusion: Studien visade att majoriteten av patienterna ville träffa en sjuksköterska som förmedlar trygghet och respekt till patienten. Patienterna ansåg att det var sjuksköterskor som styr utgången av vårdmötet på en akutmottagning.

Abstract [en]

Background: Nursing care and communication were crucial for nurses in a care encounter. Communication would be clear which is achieved through both verbal and non-verbal communication. It gave nurses an opportunity to see the patients as a whole. Understanding the patients' experiences in the care encounter in emergency departments was important for nurses, in order to promote a person-centered care encounter. By listening to the patient's story and being empathetic, nurses could better understand the patient's situation and needs. It could reduce stress and anxiety in the patient, which provided a better care experience.

Aim: The purpose of the study was to shed light on patients' experience of the care meeting with nurses in an emergency department.

Method: The method was a qualitative literature study based on ten qualitative scientific articles from a patient perspective.

Findings: In the results of the study, it emerged that the patients felt a lack of care in the care meeting with nurses, which led to feelings of ignorance and insignificance. In order to increase the patients' well-being, the importance of person-centered care was emphasized, where nurses showed empathy, commitment and saw the patient as a whole.

Conclusion: The study showed that the majority of patients wanted to see a nurse who conveys security and respect to the patient. The patients believed that it was nurses who control the outcome of the care meeting in an emergency department.
